- JJohnLondon •39 reviews5.0Dined todayGreat old school fish restaurant where most of the staff have been there since the place opened. The Rockefeller oysters are to die for which we followed with the mixed grilled fish platter. All cooked to perfection. Our server Sean was first class, helpful and good humoured. If you like fish then Scomas is the place to go.More infoScoma's Fisherman's WharfPrice: Expensive• Seafood• North Beach•4.7

- OTOpenTable DinerLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAs a Filipino, I was ecstatic to try out their modern take on Filipino flavors. I thought the Abacá team did a great job highlighting both lesser-known or adventurous dishes like Balut 3 ways (delicious! a great entry-level way to try Balut ^_^), while still offering elevated variations of well-known dishes like Lechon and Sisig Fried Rice. We also tried the Torta Cebuano and Kangkong Fritter which were delicious. All the flavors felt balanced and the portions are just right to where you can try multiple dishes and be left feeling super full. For dessert, we had the smoked ube tart which was, as they say, not too sweet! We also got a complimentary cassava cake as we were celebrating a special occasion. A nice way to finish off the meal. Oh! And cocktails were oh so yummy and strong lol. Service and ambience was spectacular. Filipinos are known for their hospitality, and I felt that really shined in an elegant fine dining way here. Our waiter was highly attentive and took extra care to ensure our meal went smoothly. I have a lot of allergies and he provided me with a menu where he marked which items were safe. I wanted to try things off the secret menu, and he went back to the kitchen to double check for me. With each round of food, we never had to wait too long and our waiter made sure to check when we were ready for more food or drinks. My personal favorite part of the service was that the Abacá staff had actually brought me a card that said “Congratulations” on it where they all signed their greetings. So sweet! It’s those little touches that really add to the homey experience. We saw other tables who ordered the Kamayan meal. We’ve done it in the Philippines, but the presentation here was on another level. We decided we definitely have to come back for that with a bigger group! And also to try the chefs tasting menu another time. Thank you Abacá team for a wonderful meal and experience.More infoAbacáPrice: Expensive• Filipino• North Beach•4.7

It was plenty for the two of us and with the garlic butter it was just delicious. Our server was informative, knowledgeable and delightful! We sat by the window and had a great bay view.More infoFranciscan Crab RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Fisherman's Wharf•4.3
- LLYNNvipSan Francisco Bay Area •13 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 30, 2024My lunch companion and I were treated to a lunch at Bistro Boudin; We had such a wonderful time. Started with the Crab and Spinach Dip; she had the Petrale Sole, me the Dungeness Crab Louie (of course)! Real chunks of sweet crab and a elevated Thousand Island Dressing - sublime lemon butter sauce on her sole, which was perfectly cooked. The sourdough bread; amazing, the service kind and efficient; the ambiance? how do you beat the bay view, including "The Rock" Alcatraz on a clear day. Here's to 175 more years Boudin - and many return visits for me!More infoBistro BoudinPrice: Moderate• American• Fisherman's Wharf•4.5
