After moving to the United States in his early 20s, del Prado began his culinary career in Colorado—cooking at night and snowboarding during the day. Upon moving to Minneapolis, he had the opportunity to work in some of the finest kitchens in the Twin Cities. In 2009 del Prado teamed up with his mentor, Isaac Becker, to open Bar La Grassa in the North Loop.     We went on Mother's Day in the evening. Dave our server was outstanding. He made our visit enjoyable, he was very knowledgeable, had good suggestions and attentive all evening. We had Seared Sea Scallops, Lobster Agnolotti and The Char Burger. For dessert the Blackberry Key Lime Flan is very tasty and a large slice that is sharable with 3 people. The Affogato was also very good. Everything was excellent. We will be coming back soon.
