Meander embodies relaxed indulgence. Be prepared to enjoy your multi-course meal carefully and thoughtfully crafted by our executive chef, who designs the tasting menu each evening. Courses range from five to 12, depending on fresh ingredients available from on onsite greenhouse, the season, and any themes we may be highlighting (such as Chinese New Year or St. Patrick's Day). Our bar is finely curated to offer mid- to top-shelf spirits. All mixes, salts, and syrups for cocktails and mocktails are made in house and augmented with fresh ingredients. The dining room seats 16 people, so each person's experience is personal, private, and delightful. We only offer one seating in the evening at 6:00. Bar opens at 5:00. Meander is the onsite restaurant for Shortgrass Resort, built by Cappie, Alex (Sprout), and Rachel, as seen on Building Outside the Lines on the Magnolia Network and streaming on Max.The resort is child-free, with a minimum age of 18. No pets.

    Best piece of prime rib I eat every year ! We come to deadwood every spring and Legends steakhouse is amuse stop every time. Highly recommended.

    The food just keeps getting better. The noise level was only bad because one woman sitting with a friend at a table next to mine was exceptionally loud and on top of that had a grating voice and awful laugh. I didn't and don't think anything really could be done about it--in fact, I doubt she could even help it. All the food (bread and spread, house salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and mini-canolis) was exceptional, as good ir better than even the very good food I've had before. Lauren is an exceptional server. Paul Peterson's guitar volume, style, and selected music was right on target and helped cancel out the woman's awful voice and laugh.

    We dined at the Deadwood Social Club for the first time for an evening dinner on Easter Sunday. We had appetizers and dinner. The food quality was excellent. My wife had the Osso Bucco and I had a filet. My wife said the Osso Bucco was the best she has ever had. My filet was cooked to medium rare as ordered and had the outstanding South Dakota beef flavor. For appetizers we had the bison ravioli and the mushroom toast. The evening was an outstanding success and we will definitely be dining there again.
