This was the starting point of O Pastus when we open doors in 2020, the restaurant was a realization of Chef Hugo Dias de Castro's dream. He was the one strengthening relationtips with local suppliers and defining a seasonal menu. Hugo suffered an unexpected heart attack in december 2023, his wife Annakaren didn't wanted to give up the dream so she decided to keep the restaurant open.     This may have been our top restaurant during our 2 week visit to Portugal. The ambience was beautiful, we felt like we were sitting in a small private garden. Every tapas we tried was amazing, but we especially loved the pork cheeks and the clams. Service was great and we really felt the staff’s passion for the food.

    First time to o Faia restaurant. Wonderful experience all the way around, food, service, ambience and the Fado music. We were going to go to one Fado type restaurant while in Portugal and I am glad we picked this one!

    Great restaurant, something completely different to our “normal” ones in the Algarve. We were staying 10 minutes north of Santerém at Quinta da Cabrita, when the six of us went to Kook in November 2019 and had a fabulous meal in a spectacular dining area. The staff were extremely knowledgeable & helpful, and the food was superb. Our only concern was that we ate when it was dark outside, and guess there was a wonderful view outside, so next time would go there for a late lunch! David Tweed & Maddy van Kleef
