The food was excellent. Service was attentive, but one of us was given last month's menu, which was a bit confusing. Desserts were very good, imaginative, and not too sweet. Wines were reasonably priced and appropriate.
Excelent food and ambiance as usuall for Lark! We will be back soon.
Dinner was phenomenal. Very happy with the wine list, food was amazing, service was great!
The ambiance is good and the hosts are friendly. The food is mediocre and definitely not worth the price.
Came here for date night with my boyfriend, Lark never disappoints! Great ambience, amazing food and a lovely wine list.
Loved the pork belly and the asparagus!
Disappointed, frankly. The halibut was over-salted. Not the same Lark of the past, in my opinion.
Absolutely delicious! Everything from start to finish was fantastic. Our drinks at the beginning took a little long but they were fantastic. The service was great. Our food was phenomenal, but unfortunately the dessert did not wow us like the main course. Definitely will be coming back though!
We have not been at Lark for sometime. Continuous to be excellent. The Seared Foie Gras was superb
Excellent meal and excellent service. The only questionable thing was their use of a surcharge on the bill total to cover rising costs. Apparently they mention it on the menu - so i guess i should be paying attention to more than just food descriptions and prices when i read a menu? There must be a better way to alert diners that the food prices don't cover the cost of employee benefits. I don't know what that better system is, but the current one just seems sneaky
Great food. Service was stellar. Most impressed by the table-side display of the Bone-In Ribeye for two after it was cooked. When it returned, it was tested and cut off the bone and sliced for our ease of eating. Great wine (2016 Matthews Winery Cabernet)! Nice hidden neighborhood gem.
Service was generally very good, but when we arrived we were asked by the host if we were planning on being there past 7 because they were fully booked later. We said that we’d probably be done before, so he sat us in a booth. When our server arrived we asked to be switched to a two top just so we wouldn’t be rushed. Im sure the host was trying to give us a more comfortable accommodation but the ticking clock felt a little awkward. The food itself was pretty good, but I can’t recommend the caviar on the pancake- too much pancake and ours was a bit under done. Other dishes ranged from truly outstanding to okay. The temp on some of the dishes was a bit on the cool side. Still, the flavors were excellent, and, again, service was great. At the two top, we weren’t rushed at all.
Excellent food Very very slow
Seafood was exceptionally fresh, well-prepared and beautifully presented. The attentive service and suggestions from the wait staff added to the overall experience.
We celebrated a lovely ten year wedding anniversary at The Lark!
We’ve been to Lark a handful of times over the past 10 years or so (3 different locations) and have been blown away each time. Can’t wait for my next visit.
We celebrated our anniversary there. Food was great and service was fantastic. We will be back.
I had my birthday dinner with my family at Lark. Overall we enjoyed our experience & all of our dishes. Server was kind & knowledgeable on the dishes. I will note our dinner was 2 hours and 45 minutes, it felt like there was a lot of waiting involved. Good thing we ordered burrata & oysters as appetizers (which was really good). The Halibut in season was the best dish in our opinion. Desert & desert wine wasn't anything special and would not order those again. I would come back for a special occasion.
The service was attentive and excellent. The food was uninspired, except for the asparagus soup. Wine list was fair. However it was quiet.
Everything was amazing! Food was fresh and delicious. Beautifully presented. We didn't leave one bite behind, and we ordered A LOT of food!
The food was incredible! Every dish was delicious! I highly recommend it all!
Terrific ambiance. Unique building. Some entrees were excellent. One or two though ( out of 4) were only ok and even disappointing
Lark is a remarkable place. The food is superb, the service warm but in no way overbearing and the noise level allows polite conversation without shouting! Try it, you will have no regrets.
Wonderful experience, food is pricey but with it!
Great service. Wonderful meal.
I hosted a celebration dinner at Lark. The food, service, ambiance were fantastic. We were able to comfortably carry a conversation with the quiet to moderate noise level. Most were in dress attire. My husband wore nice jeans and a button down - we were fine. The booth was a little tight but not unmanageable. There is limited street parking and a small pay lot a few blocks away. I would definitely return. One of the best meals and experiences ever had.
Very enjoyable evening with wonderful creative cuisine - loved the mussels the cheese and the pasta!
We had high expectations for Lark which may be a reason we were disappointed.
We went for my fiancé’s birthday and I had requested a booth or nice table and we were put in a squished table where our chairs were bumping the tables behind us
We started off with the bread which I would not recommend it was a cold dense wheat bread which was hard to eat. Our starter courses were fine, but for dinner my fiancé got the crispy duck and I got the burger and neither of those impressed us. We also both agreed that the food was salty.
Because you’re so close to others, and it’s a big cavernous room noise level is high, at least where we were.
Overall would give three stars - it was a fun experience but not someplace that stands out to me as fantastic.
Great food! Spring Tasting menu had great options!
We got seated upstairs which does not have the same ambiance as the main level. No fish of the day offering. Waitress disappeared for long stretches. For a $40 corkage fee I expect something more than 3 wine glasses and a small first pour to taste. She didn't seem to know that the cork needs to be pulled slowly from a 15 year old cabernet. She jerked it out and it broke in half, obviously. Didn't offer to decant. We ended up doing our own refills.
We ordered the mussels for an appetizer which were excellent, but could use more bread for soaking up the amazing sauce.
My husband and I both had the halibut that was cooked perfectly.
We will be back!
Wonderful Vibe. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, fantastic dining experience
I had a post Bday celebration and wanted to change atmosphere and try something new. Lark was supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Seattle. However, after dining over there, I must say this place is overrated. I was greeted by an unfriendly hostess, which didn't want to give a nice table even though we made a reservation in advance and arrived earlier. After negotiating with her manager, she gave in. The waitress forgot to bring bread and wasn't pleasant either. The food was great, we had octopus, pasta and duck, finished with a nice pineapple desert - really gourmet food and very well presented. However, the overall décor and ambiance are not exactly what we expected. The management should do a better job decorating this place from both inside and outside, put some light on, because it was getting darker and they still didn't have light on...- everything to make this place more lively and cheerful and of course, remind their personnel of smiles and being more friendly.
In the past, eating dinner at Lark has been our "event" for the evening. However, this time we met friends at Lark before attending a nearby theater performance. There were four of us. Two of us ordered the Octopus La Plancha with Bomba rice. This is a pleasantly smoky dish with a little bit of spice. The octopus was tender and juicy. I think it is on the menu a lot, perhaps all the time. The field green salad was a nice light compliment to the octopus dish. The small bowl of chowder was delicious and very rich. It was substantial enough that I did not have room for dessert after eating the chowder and the octopus. The mussels, ordered as a main, came in a large cast iron casserole with a side of grilled bread. It would have been nice to have a bit more grilled bread to mop up the delicious buttery broth. The fourth main was a special for the evening, scallops. At this point I cannot remember how they were prepared, but they looked delicious and our friend relished every bite.
The food is never short of exceptional here, even after years and years of patronage. What I miss about the previous iteration is the warm, friendly service. While the current service is professional, it always feels a bit distant and disconnected since moving to this restaurant space.
We got to lurk after a bit of confusing parking! Once that was accomplished all went well. Our server was informative and patient. The food is very unique and different in that they were not variations of typical dishes they were altogether new dishes... which is what we like! We stayed at our table for about 2 hours and had a great time. I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet dinner
I was quite impressed by the variety of the menu and the superb presentation of the food. The Pinot Noir was spectacular, and pleasantly generous; not skimpy like most area restaurants. The wait staff was courteous and prompt, but not intrusive. And the salad and main dish (duck) were truly superb.
We were seated in a booth, although there was just the two of us, such a nice start to the evening. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and his dessert came with a candle. Low key and sweet. Our server was particularly good - nice, helpful, knew when to come over, offered good suggestions for what to order. It was easy to hear each other even though the restaurant was full, so it felt lively even without all the noise.
