   Rough night at Laurel Court our reservation was for 8:00 but we were told they couldn’t seat us for 20-30 minutes. They sat us at 8:15, but we didn’t get any food until after 9 pm. The waiter was hustling, but couldn’t keep up, the hosts seemed really lost and confused. Very understaffed with half the dining room sitting unused and empty. The food was perfectly prepared but my rib eye and truffled fries were cold :( but the food quality was great. The trout, half chicken and chicken Cesar as well as the cheese plate was delicious too.

   I made reservations prior since my partner & I were celebrating 7yrs. We get there & are told that we have to wait 10-15 since they are short staffed. End up waiting 20-30min. The menu was boring only had about 8 options, the drinks were good! No complain about the staff. Expected better especially with a reservation made prior.

   The food was good but service was lacking, given the cost. Our waiter was young- did not really know the menu and was “unenthusiastic” to be there. Did not check on us after food was served and we ended up having to refill our wine from the bottle we ordered.

    Located in one of San Francisco's most desirable hotels! The Laurel Court is a beautiful room and the food was outstanding! I am looking forward to returning!

    Ambiance and service was excellent, however, the food was averaged for the price paid compared to my experience from the Empress Hotel Fairmont in Victoria. The server was excellent and knowledgeable. I will still recommend the Afternoon Tea but please don’t set your expectations too high.

    Convenient location if catching a show at the SF Masonic. limited menu covers the basics. appetizers were good, and the flat iron steak and cheeseburger were good.

    A great dining spot for events near the Masonic. Service was great. We had a burger and chicken artichoke dish. Both were good, but the carrots that accompanied the chicken was cold. Eclair dessert was very good.

    After reading recent reviews I was skeptical, but overall the 4 of us enjoyed the High Tea experience at the Fairmont. A bit lacking on keeping our champ glasses filled, and we all would have liked to have tried more than one tea choice, but upon request our server was able to provide us an extra nibble of the Nutella/Banana tea sandwiches from the children's menu...we were all channeling our inner child! A bit pricey for the selection, but we left feeling full and satisfied.

    We enjoyed a delicious Mother’s Day buffet. Our favorites: desserts and the four kinds of smoked salmon. Kudos to the chef(s)! Our experience would not have been possible without the excellent attention to detail and service by the waitstaff (who moved about the dining room discreetly) and staff at the buffet stations. The Fairmont is one of our favorite places!

    Went here for Mother's day brunch. Upon entering decor is nice and ambience as well. As for the food that's something to be desired. Most of the hot food was dry and overcooked. Being a Sunday brunch the only breakfast items were an omlete station and some pastries. For the price you pay here I'd expect a lot better quality and quantity. Our reservation was at 12:15 and by 1:30 the place was almost empty and no new guest were arriving.

    It was a good Mother’s Day experience for me, the venue is elegant, the service was excellent. The foods we had were all enjoyable except for the ham in the meat station and the sea bass- they were both too dry. Otherwise, all the other foods we had in all the food stations were excellent!

    I was so excited to have a fabulous breakfast for Mother’s Day. A special waffle, lox, maybe Special just for moms and an ambiance expected for such a highly rated hotel brand. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed! The food came cold and dry. The french toast with hard crust as if days old bread. My partners bacon was cold dry and burnt. We eat out often in less prestigious places and have never eaten food this bad. The attentiveness of the staff seemed to be directed at the set up for the brunch starting a few hours later. I would have happy made reservations for but the website was not specific as to why I could not have any time slot after 8:45. Our mistake was not telling the restaurant staff but later at reception check out mentioning it fell upon deaf ears. We loved the room& view although we didn’t have any water upon arrival. This was a special treat for us and we otherwise enjoyed the classic features of this landmark of San Francisco. We’d love to come back but this meal and lack of concern by staff was unprofessional and disappointing.

    My husband and I went for the spring afternoon tea. I really enjoy afternoon teas. They had a good tea selection. The tea also included a flute of Mumm’s champagne, savory tea sandwiches, scones with jam, lemon curd, and clotted cream, and small sweet tea cakes and macarons. It was all delicious! The room was elegant with wonderful ambiance. The service was very good without being intrusive. This is good for adults and well-behaved children.

    The cheese sampler appetizer was very good with wine or cocktails. Hamburger was also very good. Cobb salad was good but not great. Our server Oscar was excellent.

    “Disappointing” is an understatement. Being seated at a folding card table with conference chairs for a $650 meal was shameful on the part of the restaurant. As a guest of the hotel and an Accor diamond member, I feel unappreciated and quite frankly, mistreated.

    Scrambled eggs pretty bad, fried eggs incorrectly cooked. Potatoes excellent, French toast so so, latte very good, fruit plate good, omelette good, very large. Prices pretty high and menu fairly small. We had free breakfast with our room and would have been bummed to pay for this.

    The only negative to our experience was being rushed by the servers. As an example, not all members of our party were finished with the scones and yet the server brought the tier stand and there was a scramble to make room on the table. Several servers came around with hot water to top up our teapots - which was very nice. However, the first attempt to top us up was before we'd even poured our first cup ... the tea was still steeping! After 30 minutes we had to repeatedly ask for more hot water. The website says that High Tea is expected to last 1.5 hours; we would have been out in 45 minutes based on the service. The restaurant was not busy - perhaps 8 tables while we were there. The closest table was there before us (same number in their party) and yet they got their tier of dainties after us. We loved the ambience and everything was very tasty. Our only complaint was the pace of service.

    Afternoon tea was ok. I’ve been to many luxury high teas and I wasn’t impressed. I recommend palace hotel in SF over Fairmont. I did love the pianist and the beautiful Laurel Court dining room. Not impressed with the high tea.

    I had two breakfasts there. The only criticism I have is too much food was served. It was a good portion to serve a young football player but I noticed most of the diners were older and don't need that much food. One suggestion I do have, chop the spinach up into pieces when cooked in the omlets. It was good that vegetables are put in the omelet but I had to cut the spinach with the knife. Also, the green & red peppers added more nutrition and color to the fried potatoes but there again, it would have been nicer if they were cut into smaller pieces. The wait staff was particularly good this morning, Very attentive but I was there just after 7:00 AM. My 9:30 AM reservation was during a very busy time & we never saw our waiter once he took our order.

    Excellent meal in a charming historic hotel dining room. Although the entrees were very good, the selection was extremely limited. The wine list by the glass and entrees were reasonably priced, the desserts overpriced. Excellent service. We would come again.

    Gorgeous dining room !!! Reasonable prices given the venue and the city in general. They are extremely short staffed (took. 30 minutes just to order coffee). Not the waiter’s fault but it was a very long wait. Food was very good but side dish was cold. Lipstick on my coffee cup. Hotel staff is wonderful. Just need more of them.

    Our server was wonderful! He noticed that my daughter was opening gifts, asked if it was her birthday and then brought dessert with a candle and sang, even though we didn't request it. Good vibes all around.

    We made a lunch reservation and due to Covid they were only serving breakfast. Also due to Covid they had a limited menu. Would have been nice to know these things before arriving. Also 72hour cancellation or $95 per person charged. That’s excessive and doesn’t make us feel like returning. Waiters were great however.
