It was good to see this restaurant reestablish their high level of cuisine and service! We had had a poor experience before the pandemic when the previous dining format was in place. The menu and the service was much more like JR Table with many of chef’s regular people in service here. The food was exquisite and service was excellent. Our group had gazpacho which was refreshing and seasoned perfectly, as well as a special seared fois gras starter. Our entrees included seared duck breast, a swordfish special, and filet mignon with bernaise sauce. As is normal, every dish came with a sauce that accompanied the dish well. We experienced Jean Robert’s touch again and it was wonderful!

Le Bar keeps getting better. Definitely a different restaurant since it has inherited the mantle as JR's flagship restaurant. White tablecloths and great service from longtime pro Daron. Highly recommended.

Le Bar A Boeuf is certainly a must in dining experiences in the Cincinnati area! Our waiter was very good. We never felt rushed as he did a wonderful job of juggling quite a few tables! The halibut was superb, while the beet salad was the perfect accompaniment. I would be surprised if any other restaurant in this area could top Le Bar A Boeuf for menu, service, ambiance, and affordability.

In the past we always enjoyed the ambiance. Tonight it was noisey with two large heavly drinking crowds Always like a good hamburger, but their"s is contrived with bacon and cheese and other ingredients incorporated into the meat. Also my entre was too salty. Sorry to give this sad critique, but are expections were not met and especially for the price point.

First time visitor. Loved the place and food. Thought server somewhat arrogant and unattentative. But knew offerings well and described well. Felt not a part of the scene because new and not that friendly and welcoming. And Building Security in front of building didn’t have a clue where you were but one gentleman made sure we found it and was new and very hospitable.

We were surprised to find that restaurant week had been extended, and so we ended up ordering the restaurant week menu, and asked for wine recommendations for each course. The food and the wine were all delicious, and the meal was well paced, such that we were never rushed into a new course, but neither were we left waiting for the next course to arrive. All of the staff were helpful and congenial, and as it was our anniversary, they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne with the dessert course. We also enjoyed the restaurant's proximity to Eden Park, as this enabled us to pair our dinner with a pleasant walk through the park.

What a hidden gem! We decided to try Le Bar A Boeuf during Cincinnati Restaurant Week and so glad we did. The food was top notch, service was wonderful and the location was brilliant; overlooking the Ohio River. We're looking forward to the warmer weather to enjoy their outdoor terrace. Highly recommend!

Won't be back and will tell anyone interested to skip Le Bar A Boeuf. As background, I've enjoyed many fine dining establishments all around Cincinnati. I've been a reastaurant week patron for years (probably 20+ restaurants). Never have I been treated so poorly. I went in a dress and a friend arrived, also suitably dressed. But the hostess, waitress, and patrons were all condescending. Because they didn't know us personally as they seemed to know the rest of the patrons, tone of voice and table service was poor. Had the food been better, maybe I'd have put aside the constant judgement from everyone. It seems only Lindners are truly welcome. We were told everyone at the table had to enjoy the restaurant week menu or no one could order it. This has never been the case at any other establishment - it was not listed on the Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week website or La Bar A Boeuf's website - I checked. If you don't want to participate in restaurant week and make all feel welcome, don't. The seafood bisque was mealy, not creamy. The pea salad was tasteless. The filet we ordered medium came out rare. The table salmon and the sauces for the salmon and filet were the only redeeming qualities. The cocktail menu was tiny, not the same as the website, and unsatisfying. Take your money elsewhere - thank me later.

This has always been one of my favorites. Understated and casually elegant. Beautiful views, selections for every palate. I highly recommend the lobster bisque and Shrimp Maisonette. Impeccable service. Lovely evening in every way.

Love love this gem of a place. The ambiance, the food and the impeccable service. The lobster salad is so tasty and original. Love the cracker jax artfully arranged. Amazing finish Cannot go wrong with the menu selections. Love the escargot. Wish they were a bit bigger but delicious And NO LOUD MUSIC. People can actually have conversations! Parking a bit of a hassle. Only 2 spots inside garage and just a few on side of building. All in all a wonder culinary experience

The parking was a little trouble, spaces small for a Mini Van. We had a table close to the windows, therefore the view was great. Our server knew what was available. Our food was served hot and the amount was just right (had the Duck and the chicken). Desert was good.

We had not been here for a few years and were happy to be back. Their menu has changed a lot since our last visit, and reminds me more of Jean Roberts Table, which was one of our favorites in Cincinnati. The three pea salad and halibut specials were delicious. Looking forward to our next time!

For an amazing French bistro dining experience I would highly recommend Le Bar A Boeuf! The menu had so much to offer that we couldn't decide on our selections so we asked our server to help us and she steered us in the right direction. Every dish was delicious. And the service was top notch. We loved it so much that we booked our next reservation before we left. Bon appetit!

Everything was fantastic except actually getting into the restaurant. The hallway door was locked and so was the door from the garage. We kept knocking on the door in the garage and also tried to use the emergency phone to call the receptionist - phone doesn't work. Each of us called LBAB with our cell phones and finally my friend was let in and then staff came to get me. All is well - just not a very nice way to start the evening.
