Lebanese Taverna - Washington DC
Server totally took care of us 4 at the table and made great recommendations. Very helpful with allergies at the table.
Food and service was outstandig. I like Lebanese wine is perfect😃
Always the favorite! A classic that never disappoints.
Lebanese Taverna always serves fresh food with delicious taste. The humus and baba ghanoush are always so perfect served with piping hot fresh pita. they have an excellent Mediterranean Lebanese cuisine and I've never had a bad meal. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants a delicious and healthy meal.
We had a very nice meal. Good service. The lamb was terrific.
Very good food and service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this place - food is great - the garlic 🧄 paste is delicious
The baba ghanoush, cauliflower and seasoned fries were delicious. The hummus was perfectly seasoned and the warm bread with the zatar and olive oil dip was a great starter along with the kibbee. Highly recommend LT is you want delicious and fresh Lebanese cuisine!
This is one of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve been to outside of Lebanon! The food doesn’t get more authentic than this. Everything we’ve tried was absolutely delicious and we make a point of eating there every time my family and I visit DC. Their fresh baked fresh is addicting and the mezza is mouthwatering!
The décor is clean and modern featuring a Lebanese theme, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some authentic and delicious Lebanese food.
always great food - love the salmon harra and the fresh made pita
Excellent food, service, and cleanliness. Would eat here again and again if I lived in DC.
The food was horrible . I had order lamb kabobs. It was so overcooked and dry that i felt puckish after first bite.
Chicken shawarmas were no where like chicken shawarmas. They had very dry chicken strips.
I raised the issue with the server and she took 15 minutes to say that the manager is far away.
Now that no scope for resolution was offered , we asked for to go boxes to take the food because we had spent $96 on it.
Later i spoke with the manager on call and he was very rude and didn't offer any good resolution.
Worst restaurant ever . Don't go ever.
Mustapha was so awesome and attentive, and he helped us with the surprise birthday song :-)
we sat outside. tables nicely spaced. good for social distancing.
Great to eat outdoors. Plenty of sanitizer, contact tracing list circulated. A good dining experience
The waitstaff was tremendously helpful and kind. All of the food was delicious and the overall experience was great.
Service and ambience were great. Food was just ok
Fantastic service! We had a party of 8 and a birthday, staff was very receptive and brought out a slice of cake. A great time!!
We visited the Taverna on Conneticutt Avenue un North West Washington DC and truly enjoyed the food and the overol meal and experiencia! Thank you so much!
Exceptionally convenient location and a beautifully updated interior. The restaurant attracted a large lunch crowd, even on a federal holiday. Food was delicious and noise level permitted easy conversation. Hope to be back soon.
The Taverna never disappoints. While it has seen dramatic changes since I first started dining in 1996, the quality of food and level of service has not. We look forward to going back soon.
Been coming to this location since the mid-90s. First time back in over a decade and it is still one of my favorite places for this type of cuisine. We had excellent service, and the food was a good as ever.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was stunning. Unfortunately the service was really pretty horrible which shadowed the entire experience. It seemed to be just our server though. If you're lucky, you'll get someone else. Food was worth it!
An awesome place with very good service. The food is incredible!!
Consistently good food. Appetizer portions could be bigger considering the prices.
After I made reservation on a recommendation I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. However it took 34 minutes to get waited on. Once the waiters realized who’s table I was at service was great and food was great.
Love the food offerings -- despite the over-roasting of lamb kabobs, which is SO SURPRISING! Don't know why they are always a little dry and tough. In spite of that, glad we went with our out-of-town vegetarian guest who did very well. Wait staff was lovely, patient, and helpful. Yes, the room is "energetic" in terms of noise -- VERY loud. A beautiful carpeted or cork wall would still look hip and beautiful, but would be helpful for those of us with ears.
Lovely interior. Quiet at lunchtime; good for business discussion. Very courteous, welcoming, helpful staff. Extremely convenient location opposite Woodley Park Metro. Delicious!
The food was very very good and I was so pleased that they had Chateau Musar!!!!
Service was extremely slow and then when the main dish came it was dry from overcooking.
Service, food, and ambience = perfect!
The menu is not as varied as many Lebanese restaurants but the food is good. The lamb shank with artichokes and peas is especially tasty. Our server was helpful, friendly and attentive. Nice place. We’ve dined there often.
Excellent service and food! The appetizers are particularly well made.
Beautiful room, great food, attentive service...but on a busy night, man it was loud! Would happily come again, though. Many thanks, Frank Van Riper
Everything was delicious. But the garlic spread stole the show!
Dinner for 6, mezza and yummy bread to start, followed by a variety of dishes and baklava for dessert. Our waiter was excellent - he provided a substitute for the wine I wanted and it was much better!
Delicious appetizers. I highly recommend the pulled lamb.
I live in FL. When I visit DC this is my go-to place.
Every time I visit my family in Washington, D.C. I invite them for dinner at the Lebanese Taverna. The food is always authentic and well prepared. Even my grandchildren love the food and do not mind trying new food because they have learned that everything that is served is excellent. I am looking forward to my next visit
Amazing food, beautiful venue. Tad noisy when packed full of folks, but that's the only negative I can think of. The table meza pairings work very well and the baklava is to die for.
