Updated July 08, 2026

Toronto‘s food scene is one of the most exciting and eclectic in North America, and nowhere does that energy express itself more joyfully than at the brunch table. From elegant French bistros in Yorkville and Japanese all-you-can-enjoy spreads to cosy neighbourhood diners and lively Latin lounges, the best brunch in Toronto spans an extraordinary range of cuisines, neighbourhoods, and moods. Whether you’re hunting for the perfect bottomless brunch, a seasonal Canadian table, or a MICHELIN-recognised Lebanese feast, Toronto’s best brunch restaurants offer something genuinely memorable for every appetite and occasion. Weekend mornings here are not to be wasted — the tables fill up fast, and for good reason. From the Beaches to Little Portugal, the Entertainment District to Harbord Village, Toronto’s dining landscape rewards those who explore it.

What the experts say:

“Toronto makes a proper event of brunch, especially when there’s a good cocktail involved. The city’s multi-cultural dining influences show up before noon, too, whether in a breakfast sandwich with char siu-glazed sausage or avocado toast dusted with togarashi.” —Jessica Huras, Toronto-based food and travel writer with bylines in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, National Post, Condé Nast Traveler, and more. Her work explores the places, people, and stories that shape how we eat, gather, and connect.

“What I love most about brunch in Toronto is the range—Persian omelettes, Egyptian falafel-covered eggs, fluffy Japanese pancakes, Brazilian tapioca crepes. Few cities let you eat your way across continents before 2 pm.” —Caroline Aksich is a Toronto-based food and lifestyle writer whose work has appeared in Toronto Life, the National Post, the Globe and Mail, Fodor’s, Frommers, Foodism, and more. She writes about the things that make life worth living.

British
Entertainment District

Fox on John is a British gastropub nestled in Toronto’s Entertainment District, and it’s one of the city’s most spirited spots for weekend brunch. Set in a handsomely appointed room with warm lighting and a buzzing bar, the pub channels classic British hospitality while keeping things distinctly Toronto. Brunch here comes in two flavours: the early bird brunch special for those who like to get a head start, and the wildly popular bottomless brunch — an all-inclusive spread that keeps the food and drinks flowing for a fixed time. The menu is a crowd-pleasing mix of comfort-driven British staples reimagined for the occasion, from hearty mains to shareable bites that pair beautifully with a pint or a Bloody Caesar. It’s the kind of place where a lazy weekend morning stretches effortlessly into afternoon — convivial, unpretentious, and reliably good fun.

I went back to Fox on John with a friend yesterday and took advantage of their taco Tuesday and 1/2 off Margaritas. It was great and I'll definitely be back. This is turning into my go to place for drinks after work.

Returned for our 1 year anniversary, having had our wedding dinner here. Staff could not have made us feel more special. A friendly welcome and warm wishes from many familiar faces made the evening memorable. Thanks to everyone.

Hamilton

Located in Hamilton — just a short drive from Toronto — The Standard is a destination worth the trip for its thoughtful, season-led approach to brunch. Served à la carte, the menu evolves regularly to reflect what’s freshest and most compelling at any given moment: expect familiar brunch staples reimagined with a lighter touch, alongside creative dishes that feel both considered and approachable. The beverage offering is equally well-curated, from carefully crafted coffee and fresh juices to classic brunch cocktails and a focused selection of sparkling wines. The atmosphere is unhurried and welcoming — modern and casually confident, designed for an easygoing table for two as much as a longer, more social gathering. Mothers’ Day 2026 calls for something extra special, and The Standard delivers with a Mothers’ Day Macaron & Flower Box — a beautiful gesture to pair with an already memorable brunch experience.

Kasa Moto is Yorkville’s sleek Japanese dining destination, and its weekend brunch is one of the most indulgent affairs in the city. Every Saturday and Sunday, guests can settle in for an all-you-can-enjoy experience that showcases the kitchen’s range and generosity. The spread is impressive: chili chicken salad, pork katsu sando, shrimp tempura, tamago sando, broccoli tempura, beef picanha, wagyu fried rice, chicken karaage and waffles, mushroom udon, and oyster mushroom baos are just some of the highlights making their way to the table. Contemporary Latin
Little Portugal / Dundas West

Lula Lounge is one of Toronto’s most distinctive and beloved dining and entertainment venues, anchoring the Little Portugal / Dundas West neighbourhood with a spirit that is equal parts restaurant, music hall, and cultural institution. The contemporary Latin menu brings together the bold flavours of South and Central America in a room that hums with life — especially on weekend mornings when brunch takes on a festive, community-driven character. Expect vibrant, flavour-forward dishes that reflect Lula’s deep connection to Latin culinary traditions, alongside a cocktail list that skews tropical and celebratory. The space is large, colourful, and unapologetically fun, regularly hosting live music and dancing that can turn a weekend brunch into a full afternoon celebration. Few restaurants in the city offer the same sense of occasion and joy. Lula Lounge is a brunch that feeds the spirit as much as the appetite.

It’s been a very nice experience overall with one request for adjustment - the level of noise - and sound was extremely high (the pressure on ear drums was extreme) and quality of sound could also be clearer, improved. This would help to match it to the quality of food, service and ambience which were otherwise excellent. The choice of music, band and energy was also excellent. 👌 Thank you 🙏 and this is a place to recommend for those who like to relax and have lots of fun Many thanks to Lula lounge team! 🌹🌹🌹

Old School on Ossington Avenue is exactly the kind of neighbourhood brunch spot that makes Toronto’s west-end dining scene so compelling. Built around honest, generous comfort food with zero pretension, Old School offers a menu of weekend favourites executed with skill and an evident love of feeding people well. The Ossington strip is one of the city’s most vibrant stretches, and Old School fits right in — casually cool, reliably excellent, and always packed with locals who know a good thing when they find it. The room is unpretentious and welcoming, the kind of place where you settle in without checking the time. It’s a strong contender for the best brunch in west-end Toronto.

Another fantastic dinner at Amal, as always! The food is spectacular, especially the delicious dips and fresh bread. What really makes the experience exceptional is the hospitality, particularly our server, Mo. I always ask to sit in his section because he is simply as good as it gets. Attentive, personable and genuinely welcoming. He elevates an already wonderful dining experience. Always a pleasure to return!
