L O C A L was conceptualized by chef_owner Tracy Miller, in 1998. with the inspired vision of becoming a local establishment in Dallas serving a seasonally inspired modern american menu. We are located in the spirited, soulful + historical Boyd Hotel, circa 1911, in Deep Ellum, TX.

Our culinary approach consistently embraces a menu that welcomes the simplest, most honest ingredients available. We are always eager to share our fondness of quality driven products and we stay true to who we are while preparing food that makes us happy.

Every evening we offer our ala carte dinner menu, our 7 course chef's tasting menu and our boutique take away menu. For reservations of 6 or more please contact us at (214) 752-7500.

One of the best spots in Dallas! Delicious! Do not miss out. Great for dates and celebrating. Hard to choose what to get. And so many amazing desserts. All so elevated. Female-owned/chef-owned and has been a staple for 20 years but feels like a brand new spot! They also validate parking in the lot connected to the restaurant so very easy parking! Please go visit!

Unfortunately, our experience was not so great. The food was delicious! Our server was very nice and seemed to be trying hard but he was the only person serving. We waited for drinks, they finally came. When it was time to order another round in preparation for dinner, they never came. My husband got up to go ask about the drinks and he was told the bartender had to leave for an emergency. All we ask was communication. If we would have been told that, we probably would have asked for a bottle of wine instead of cocktails. Everything just took too long. The least they could have done is offer a free dessert. Nothing. Again, the food was delicious but service is concerning and when you spend an average of $100 plus per person you expect more.

Food was 10/10, service was 10/10, experience was 10/10. The chef came out after the tasting and wished my fiancé a happy birthday and then brought us 2 extra desserts for free! The waiter and chef were both very nice. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough!
