We enjoyed this meal more than I can say. The staff were so welcoming and charming. We were celebrating a birthday and we couldn't have had a nicer time. We got a little birthday surprise and a lovely photo to take away! It was such excellent value as well. We had the £55 lunch menu which includes three courses, 2 glasses of wine and tea or coffee. In between courses there were amuse bouche, unexpected little treats, delicious bread and unusual chilli butter, all served with such humour and poise. I had the lobster to start, plump and tender, in a very good garlic broth. Then the duck which was perfectly cooked with a very tasty sauce. The chocolate dessert was rich and intense and my friends thought the rhubarb with lemongrass foam was delicious. We arrived at 1 and left at 4. Not once did we feel rushed or pressured. This is one of the nicest meals I have ever had. We will be back. Having said that, we did all roar with laughter at the £125 Wagyu beef supplement. As if!! MoreOpenTable Diner -

An always popular restaurant on the style-forward Kings Road in London’s Chelsea, Benihana offers an exciting take on Japanese dining. A concept originated way back in the 1960s over in the Big Apple, Benihana brings together food and performance, pioneering ‘eatertainment’. Ideal for families, Benihana is sleek and stylish with a modern interior, but chances are you won’t be paying much attention to your surroundings – most diners are too busy being charmed by the tableside teppan-yaki cookery which sees the chefs create real drama before your very eyes. In addition to the delicious personally created dishes cooked and served at your table, Benihana also offers eat in and lunchtime take away sushi.
The Chicago Rib Shack is a London favourite, serving All-American greats including a selection of mouth-watering ribs, juicy burgers and mind-blowingly good chicken - accompanied perfectly by our infamous Onion Loaf (which is still made to the same recipe)! All our ribs are smoked for hours over apple-wood, while our burgers are lovingly hand-minced. Both are served alongside dangerously good milkshakes, classic American craft beers and homemade Ice Teas and Lemonades.More
Green Room is East London's new Five-Star hotel bar, serving a selection of cocktails inspired by East London and created by The Curtain's Director of Beverage, Jenny Willing. As far as interiors go, plush velvet contrasts with rough concrete and floor-to-ceiling murals, custom murals and metallic touches.
Drinks at Green Room run the gamut from delicate and fruity to boozy and complex, and include the light and floral MaBelle, a tribute to a walled rose garden in Victoria Park, whilst the Rough Trade is a tiki drink with a Bangladeshi twist, as a nod to Brick Lane.More

If dining in the U.K. still evokes lackluster fish and chips or sorry boiled vegetables, it’s time for a trip. Call it the renaissance of British cuisine—from revived and updated bangers and mash to regional authentic Chinese, London has rewritten its own culinary story and now proudly bears the qualities of a veritable food destination. With a population of nearly 8.8 million people and one of the most popular airports in the world, the city is a bastion of cultural and culinary diversity, from an old world Parsi café and forage-forward tasting menus, to rethought English breakfasts and markets of all types. We’ll cheers to that.
