We had another nice meal at Loulay. The food was excellent if pricey. Our wait person was a bit pretentious.

Our waitstaff was excellent. The funky and bohemian atmosphere was wonderful. But, above all, the Crab Cake Beignets are the biggest draw! Seriously, great place.

The food at Loulay was delicious. I was appreciated iatice that they made my food in alignment with my food allergies. The restaurant, it self, was noisy however and we had to wait a bit for some items and our Check. Having said that; all in all, we will w back.

Our waiter, Yassine K., was superb. He tried so hard to make our dining experience special, and he was totally endearing. I felt that we were all treated like royalty. I would recommend the restaurant--whose food was quite good, especially for a hotel restaurant--to anyone, just because of Yassine's superlative service. Make him the manager!

Great place for work lunches and I thoroughly recommend; worthy of consideration is the two-course set lunch and the carrot soup!

My third visit and each time I am surprised. Although busy, the service was great and our lunches appeared quickly. The food was off-the-charts - I thought I was back in Southern France. Our lunches appeared quickly and given our time constraint was a gift. The experience was so pleasant we canceled our afternoon commitment and stayed until 2 PM. BTW the wine by the glass was awesome.

The service was good but slow. One of the servers could not seem to stop spilling and dropping food and drink on diners-including my dining companion: she should have been sent home.
My omelette was lukewarm when it arrived. The rest of the meal was lovely.

Dinner date with my wife before Benaroya Hall. Scrambled Egg as appetizer and S’Mores for dessert are always a must. Wine by the glass list is much better quality than most restaurants. Black Cod for my entrée was superb.

The staff is attentive and fun.

We will be back.

Our server waa impatient and rude in her words and body language the entire experience. Recommendation to this female server with long dark hair, slightly older, leave your frustrations at the door before your shift.

The busser gentleman was amazingly kind, courteous, helpful and happy.

Very attentive and thoughtful waiter who provided very personalized service. Although we had a reservation, there were no regular tables for a prolonged period so we had to sit at a fairly uncomfortable small bar/table but the food and waiter made up for it!

This was a mixed experience. The sturgeon was pretty good, but the Parisian gnocci mainly greasy and with little taste. The starters were main stream quality. Overall the price was too high for what we got.

Sunday brunch was not very good. The crepe was very good, my Eggs Bene were OK, the greasy bacon was good, but our drinks arrived 40 minutes after we ordered them, the home fries were soggy with grease, the food arrived 15 minutes apart (hers and mine) and 35-40 minutes after ordering. I expect better from Loulay, we've enjoyed lunch and dinner there. The server was great, it's a management issue.

Very relaxing and tasty experience overall.

Beautiful meal in a lovely, art-deco dining room! We were a party of 2 couples, arriving at 8pm on a Friday night (definitely needed that reservation). We were seated right away in a white-leather booth on the main floor. The waitress was helpful and really followed the rhythm of the table. One of our party had a hard time making up her mind, but the waitress was patient and did not rush us in the least. We shared a lovely charcuterie board and the famous crab fritters. Two people chose the vibrant beet risotto with crab, I had the amazing sea scallops (seared, on a bed of leeks), and the fourth person enjoyed the hearty pork chop on greens. Such quality food and service. And the best French 75 cocktail I ever tasted :-)

We always love our meals at Loulay- they create such a comfortable dining experience while making it special at the same time. We brought our 3 year old for the first time and they were very accommodating and made great suggestions on what he might like. Our server was excellent. We and he came away with full and happy bellies. We’ll be back soon.

On our last visit for lunch our meal was rather slow in coming and the manager took it upon himself to visit our table to explain the burgers we had ordered were being redone to make sure they were perfect and asked if he could get us anything in the meantime. I was about to order another glass of wine anyway so I did, and he brought me a lovely glass of Sancerre. Our meal arrived soon and was definitely worth waiting for. Seriously—the best burger and fries. Ever. And the yummy glass of Sancerre he had brought me was on the house. That was not expected but was very classy. One of my favorite places in Seattle—now even more so.

I wish I could say I would recommend Loulay to a friend, but given what else is out there at this price point, I would not. The food was good, but we're in the PNW - there's lots of great restaurant food, and for this price, it should be a better dining experience. The ambiance was nothing special but more than that I'd complain about the bizarre pace of service. Our waiter seemed to decide that because we didn't have a theater reservation that we wanted a meal starting at 8:30 in the evening on a Friday (after a half hour wait - we had a reservation but were early - our half hour wait was not in any way the restaurant's fault, but once we'd waited, we were quite ready to eat!) to take over two hours. We expected when we were seated to be able to order our meal. Instead, service was slow and when our waiter did get around to us, he only took our order for salad and oysters, and then went off and disappeared for a good long time. We finally got our food and virtually inhaled it, as we were starving by then. And then he dilly-dallied some more to take our order for more food! And then finally we got dinner ... it's as though it didn't occur to him that just because we weren't rushing off to a show doesn't mean we wanted dinner to take all night. Oh, and the Lotus Flower mocktail is awful - reminiscent of pickle juice. I'm an adventurous eater and not one to complain just because a drink is not something I'm used to--this one simply didn't work.

The primary customer seems to be in early to see a local performance at another venue. We were asked initially if we had a time constraint-we didn’t and that was cool. Yet the atmosphere was hectic: all staff works to get folks in and out. Felt that some items in the kitchen were running thin: duck sliders were missing something. Entrees seemed restrained for a French restaurant. Our sommelier was excellent and provided a selection we enjoyed.
