The Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese is to die for! Will definitely be back
Great food. Skimpy pour on hard liquor drinks. Our service was excellent! Can’t wait to go back probably I’ll order a beer and won’t bother with my normal drink it was really a very lame pour for the money😊
Great food. Great service with lovely wait staff.
The music is always too loud for a restaurant where friends meet to catch up.
You scream over the music like a club. For dinner that doesn't seem appropriate.
This time with a reservation, we were seated next to the front door and it was freezing. Ask to be seated away from the door, especially late fall and winter.
I brought three of my friends on a Saturday Night. None were impressed. I was a little embarrassed.
One of my favorite brunch spots in the city. I try to order something besides the short ribs Benedict, but fail, and get it again, and then bask in the delicious glory of my failure. Such has been the story of my last 4 visits. Good drinks too.
Food, service and atmosphere were awesome. The Poke and Brussel Sprouts were outstanding. I will definitely go back!
Posto molto curato sia nei dettagli che nel cibo.
Perfetto per il brunch domenicale.
The service was the best I have seen in the west loop in a long time. I think we lucked out with a very attentive waitress.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. The burger was not as rememorable as it was last year (2017). Over cooked and missing a lot of flavor. Not willing to spend 21 dollars on that burger ever again.
The Brussel sprout salad was great. My wife’s octopus was just ok. Not much octopus to it. My mad burger although ordered med rare came very well done. I didn’t send it back because my wife’s came out ten minutes before mine and I didn’t want to end up eating alone. Not the greatest dinner experience. We’ve had in Chicago. We came from ny. Disappointed with mad
Great atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service. Fun, creative, and very tasty food. Love sharing the small plates.
A group of 4 of us went on sunday for brunch. We were seated right away with our reservation. The bottomless mimosas were fab because they allow you to pour your own. They brings splits and the juice of your choice and voila! The food was excellent, we all had something different. I had the huevos rancheros and it was delish, small portion but good. I tased the waffle of the “chicken and waffle” and it was full of flavor. I will definitely be back!
Great!!! No complaints.
Went for Saturday brunch with some coworkers. The waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. Everything we ordered came in huge portions and the bottomless mimosas/bloody Mary's are well worth the $25. Best brunch I've had in a long time, we'll definitely be back!
Get the bacon wrapped dates, MAD burger and Brussels sprouts salad!
I had really hoped to enjoy this restaurant, with our group. Sadly it was anything but enjoyable. The singular upside was the bartender, he was prompt and friendly.
We arrived about 15 minutes earlier than the remaining members of our party. So, we ordered the "Bottomless Mimosas". We were assured we could continue ordering once we were seated. Our party arrived, a party of 5 total, and we were seated in the booths along the wall. Unfortunately, these were VERY POORLY DESIGNED. They can accommodate four people comfortably - AT THE MOST. We are thin to normal size people and still the edge of the seat, for the two people on the ends, split our backsides in half.
The server came and asked the three people that arrived after us if they needed anything, they ordered their beverages and she disappeared. She didn't acknowledge the rest of us or ask if we needed water or refills. She disappeared and returned with beverages, coffee and sparkling water, seven minutes later. Then, disappeared before we could order our beverages again.
At this point a second server delivered still water to everyone and disappeared. At this point the original server came back, 15 minutes after we were sat, and took our food order. She walked away and we had to raise our voice for her to notice we needed our refills. She left and we to the back of the restaurant and passed us two more times. About ten minutes later, she motions to the bar tender and finally ordered our refills. They arrive, five minutes later with our food. Note, this is one refill in 30 minutes for $25 each.
When the food arrives, the plates are completely over-sized for the size of the table. I literally had to sit sideways to eat my food. Our drinks are again empty, yet our server is nowhere to be found. So, we cut our loses and paid the check.
We paid $50, for two, for two mimosa's a piece - made with the second cheapest champagne one can buy - J. Roget.
Sadly, this was a complete let down.
We stopped by this restaurant on our way downtown after doing a search for "Restaurants Near Me" on Open Table. Were we surprised and blown away by our good luck!?! Yes!
We had fantastic cocktails and amazing food. You must go! We had the Brussels spout salad, the duck confit, and the pillows. All were beyond our expectations. Inside was noisy but we sat outside so we were able to enjoy our own conversation. It's definitely a young person's place (we didn't fit that demographic), but we felt welcomed and comfortable there. Our server was so friendly and quick. We will definitely go back ourselves but we've also recommended it to our children who ARE in their mid 20's!
We had the cheese board (delicious)! He had the steak with the cauliflower puree & asparagus and LOVED it! I had the mac n/cheese with brussel sprouts -OMFG good! Great atmosphere and even better food!
The Brunch is wonderful, they have a great variety. The service and staff are the best. One of my favorite places.
The chicken and waffles was the absolute best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!
Great service for an interesting meal. Some of the items on the menu are tapas portions and some are complete entree size. Only the waiter could tell us which was which. Friday night soundtrack was bass heavy dance music. For the young, I suppose. We enjoyed it. Pricey for some portions.
The food was good as always. However, our service was extremely slow and our waitress wasn’t very pleasant. It took 20 minutes just to get water.
Fantastic food! Great service! Highly recommend Mad Social for any event! Food is fantastic! My favorite is the Chicken and Churro waffles and truffle fries. Everything was delicious and the crab cakes were great! Drinks were perfect as well.
Food was good, but service was slow and felt like pulling teeth to get anything.
A great way to begin a Sunday. Outside table on a beautiful morning. Our server - Ariel - was superb! Our burgers cooked exactly as requested, delicious and creative. The crispy brussel sprout salad I'll need to replicate at home it was so good. Chicken & waffles and Huevos Rancheros looked fabulous. A wonderful dining experience all around.
food was good but my friend and I found hairs in it which ruined our appetite, we didn’t complain because our waitress was nice and we had a gift card to the restaurant so we weren’t wasting our money.
Good, but too expensive. Would return to take advantage of happy hour.
Bday good tim
It’s our favorite brunch spot. Period
The food was good. The prices are a little steep. It was a Saturday night at 7 pm and the place was not even 50% full. May want to decide what that is?!?! Prices probably. Service was lackluster. Dishes were just dropped at table with no explanation. No dishes or silverware were replaced. Lack of attention to detail. I’d say without some sort of “decision” to improve this place will close in 3-6 months.
Very poor food, 9 dollar plus tax for a sparkling water..... Wont be going back
The food was good but they are small plates intended to share and I feel like our waitress mislead us as to how many dishes to order and we ordered too many. I suggest starting with just a few and then ordering more later on if you're still hungry because some of the dishes are large and can be stand alone meals.
Small and intimate. The food was delicious. Loved the bacon wrapped dates and the cheese platter. Service was terrific too!
Ordered the Mac and Cheese and the Bacon Wrapped Dates. So delicious! My date and I shared
Delicious food selection! The chopped salad was delicious, and I will definitely be going back for the mac and cheese.
The 3 star review is for the service ONLY! Andrea was our waitress and she was fantastic! She checked on us constantly and kept asking if we were enjoying ourselves and at one point we were not. We started out with the brussel sprouts salad which was great and reminded me of the original brussel sprouts salad at Sunda....It seemed as if the recipe was "borrowed". After the amazing salad, we tried the tuna poke and that's when we had a serious problem. It was very fishy and we could taste that it had been previously frozen which is the same type fish you get at Jewel Osco. Ditto with the octopus....terrible. Crab Cakes were just ok, if you like corn in your cakes, which I don't. Chicken skewers were not grilled, but baked and lacked flavor. Chicken lollipop wings were equally as bad. I have NEVER dined and left food on plates to be taken away. We were still hungry and since we practically ordered everything that sounded good to us, the only thing left was chicken and waffles. Andrea had told the manager about our issue with the tuna and he agreed to give us c&w's, but at a discounted price of $4 off the price.
The c&w's were good and I see why they're a top seller.
Needless to say, I won't be back, but if you go, ask for Andrea....what also makes her great is that someone at another table left their sunglasses and she actually ran an entire block to make sure they got their glasses back. Now that's customer service!
Service was attentive but light and friendly. Food was really tasty! Cocktails were fun. Not a cheap place. An adult and two kids ended up to be pretty pricey. Perfect venue for before a United Center show.
Wait staff is extremely attentive! 2 hour bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys and you can switch them out. Food was great. Nice vibe for brunch and sports viewing
Great brunch. The chicken and waffles was amazing.
The food and service were excellent as always. We will definitely return.
MAD Social was great for a birthday dinner with a group. I also went for brunch and it was fantastic. Lively environment without being too loud, really great food too.
