Not your typical neighborhood Italian—gourmet food and great service.
Really just a wonderful restaurant. Sal is an amazingly talented and creative chef and
Mario runs the place with precision and panache. Staff is extremely friendly and professional.
We have only recently discovered this local gem. The food is wonderful! I'm glad we made course selections beyond what seemed like good combinations of ingredients. Our first appetizer was tuna tartar with fresh pear. We made a reservation to enjoy their last week of white truffles. The white truffle pasta was divine. The waiter made very good suggestions for wine and making our dinner complete. I believe his name is Danny.
Simply amazing. The food, staff, ambiance all combine to create a true gem.
Always top-notch, have been many times and never disappoints.
They always get it right...food & service spot on & our table was ready on time. You always get a great meal at Marino’s & are made to feel so welcome.👍🏼👍🏼
My first time visiting and I must say I was very impressed. I had the pappardelle bologenes, my friend had the salmon. Both were of very high quality and tasted great. The lovely environment and tentative friendly service was a great reminder that there is still some class and civility in this world. Fine dining that will impress any critic and their date. Highly recommend.
Simply great! The best manager in LA.
It was a pleasure.
Wonderful food---Owner Mario treats all guests like family. Service spot on.
We have been going to the restaurant for many years so it was a surprise and a huge disappointment. We went for New Year's Eve. The menu said Halibut but they served Branzino. The gentlemen on the phone told me it would be sea bass. The fish was terrible. If I would have known before I would have not gone because my 14 year old does not eat that fish. She did not eat anything the whole night. None of the courses where very good. For a place I have been going to for over 20 years to be that bad is just sad.
We went there for New Year’s Eve dinner on their pre-fixe menu. I can’t say enough good thing me about our experience there. We always love dining there, the service is impeccable, the food is the best Italian food in all of Los Angeles, and to top things off, the owner, Mario is always stopping by your table to greet you and make sure you are content with your meal. The menu that night consisted of many delectable choices, so it was not just one you had to have. All of the selections were amazing. I know this because my boyfriend ordered the opposite of everything I did and we tasted one another’s dishes and everything could not have been better.
Originally, I had made a reservation for 3, but my son had just had his wisdom teeth out about 10 days prior so they were nice enough to allow us to order him an entire menu to go. His reaction after eating the food we brought home to him was, “oh my gosh, the food was so delicious. Please thank them for letting you bring this home and apologize to them that I could not be there. This is one of the best dinners I’ve ever had!”
My heartfelt thanks go out to Mario, who went out of his way to make the evening special for all who dined there. In addition to the hospitality and meal being outstanding, the decor was beautiful as well. I absolutely love Marino’s Ristorante and can’t wait to go back. We have been dining here for years and this is my favorite place!!!
Marino Ristorante is one of the finest Italian restaurants in Los Angeles. After going there for several decades, the quality of the food and the experience continues to be exceptional. Go here for delicious food and delightful ambiance.
Excelente opción para comer buena comida italiana. El servicio es extraordinario ya que el dueño te atiende personalmente y realmente cuida su negocio y hace sentir a sus invitados como en casa.
Always a go to spot for us
Went with our older children, lovely evening, wonderful from start to finish. Can't wait to return!
Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food! The owner is amazing and friendly. Will certainly dine here as often as we can!
Anytime you go to Marino, you’re made to feel like family...
Not only only is the food sublime, the ambience conducive for conversation and the service is perfect.
In short, everything a fine dining experience should be...
I absolutely adore this restaurant. I have been coming here for a few years and every time is better than the last. For this visit, I am particularly even more impressed with the staff and service at this restaurant. I brought in a card from my Uncle’s memorial service that has his favorite cocktail recipe on the back of a card with his picture and years of life on it. The server provided me options for the drink as some mixture items they did not carry. He carefully and thoughtfully constructed the drink and wanted me to taste before he left our table aide. The drink was excellent. After Laing my Uncle, being able to enjoy his favorite cocktail while enjoying dinner with a friend was very special for me.
We had the black truffle pizza and it was one of the best pizzas that I have every tasted. It was simple, yet delicious. Everything that we tasted was outstanding - this is consistently one of the best Italian restaurants in LA. Everyone must try Marino’s at least once.
Attentive service, long wine list, fine food. Everything you'd expect from an established family owned Italian restaurant.
Birthday dinner - always good!!
The Japanese sushi with lemon it's amazing it's on the appetizer section.
Wonderful food and great wine selection!
Staff very attentive
Great d school meets new Italian cooking
Warm & welcoming & Sal & Mario are the best Hosts
Excellent food and service. Not your typical Italian menu; a lot I’ve seen before, but also a lot I haven’t, and the preparation is always interesting.
Best Scallops ever, swordfish perfect and server knowledgeable, informative, friendly.
We really enjoyed our experience at Marino’s. It really is about the little touches. I think they know how to go that extra mile to show you their application for your business. You can go anywhere to eat in Los Angeles. Especially for really good Italian food. The food was excellent, vibe, energy and of course the wine on point. Will definitely be going back.
Always wonderful and delicious!
Service was spot on
Waitstaff very attentive
Mario, the host, makes you feel like family
It is always nice to go to Marinos. The food is great the employees are alway friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy.
Fantastic food, wonderful service. We loved it! They made us feel very welcome and the true italians in the crowd were even impressed
This was not our first nor will it be our last visit to Marino's. Great atmosphere and even greater food. The vegetarian tasting menu is so flavorful and filling. One of our favorite places in LA!
Service was attentive and helpful. Owners were present and greeting many that seemed like regulars. Restaurant was quiet but not uncomfortable. Food was delicious and wine was nice. Great experience!
Amazing food as always and amazing service. They have a lot of things not on the menu if you ask I’m sure they can make it for you or they have it!
Very great place to dine! Been 2x the last week
We had an absolute wonderful time at Marino'a Restaurant last Saturday nite. We had a great table in front and our waiter could not have been any better. The food from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert were mind blowing. Cannot wait to go back. Last time there was probably 35 years or more on Cahuenga Blve I believe.
My favorite Italian restaurant. Food and service is always 5-star. Linguini Vongole is to die for!
Wonderful service, great food——Very attentive, knowledgeable waitstaff!
Had to catch that final Tomato Wednesday for the year! Arrabiata sauce was brilliant -- the best I've ever had!
EXCELLENT as usual !!!!!!! The food was excellent. The warmth of Mario and Toniya, the friendliness and professionalism of Andrea all make it an extraordinary dining experience.
I have been going to Marino's for years, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. Food is fresh, homemade (pasta, sauces, etc.), and well prepared. I usually go on Saturday night, so the noise level is going to be higher. This is family owned and operated, with valet parking, and excellent service. Personally, I find my drive from Camarillo to Marino's well worth it.
