Our reservation was for 8pm and we had the bar all to ourselves although the patio was full. The ambience was 'Glendale Village Charm.' We shared mussels, a Meritage salad, and crabcakes with roasted brussel sprouts. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious! And of course, we had extra bread with the wonderful, garlic mussels sauce.

Came for lunch on a Friday. We were sat outside in a shaded spot which was lovely, until the trains would roll through. The waitress was very busy but attentive, all of the food was perfect and came out quickly. The literal only bad part was the 3-4 trains that rolled through since it is SO loud and you have to stop your conversation. Next time we would just ask to be seated inside. The sweet potato fries are AMAZING seriously if you get a steak get it with the fries :)

Mother’s Day in the evening for late dinner. What a delicious special fish dish (flounder) for something totally different. Cooked perfectly along with my husband’s pork chop which is a regular favorite.

We’ve dined here a few times and tonight was even better than the two previous great experiences. We really like that the the chef specials are truly specials and the service from Julie was above and beyond. She really did a great job answering menu questions and anticipating our needs. This is quickly becoming one of our very favorite restaurants in Dayton/Cincinnati.

Friendly service, from the moment we walked in the door. Food was delicious and high quality. Wine list is not extensive, but had some good options. I would have liked my medium rare Filet pink inside, but it was very red. The Meritage salad was fresh and tasty, as was the Wedge. You won't want to miss the desserts.

Found this wonderful gem when traveling here for the weekend. Hard to believe this sits a mile from the interstate in the quaint town of Glendale. Such a great atmosphere and the surrounding area couldn't be anymore like a movie set. If you get a chance to pop off the highway for a meal ... just do it! Had an old fashioned to start and they asked for our preferred bourbon - it was nicely prepared! The food was excellent. The Meritage Salad was fresh and light and the prime rib was perfectly prepared! Would definitely recommend and hope we can make it back soon.

This is a favorite restaurant of ours. My husband had the 20oz prime rib and I had the chicken diovolo. The food here is excellent and the service is always friendly and very professional.

So I highly recommend you ask for bottled water here. The tap water is terrible. I would have liked to have seen some sort of bread service too. The ambience seemed a little incongrous with the menu, but we were seated upstatirs so I do not know if the downstairs had been updated. I felt a bit like I was visiting my grandmoher's house circa 1985. That being said, our waitress was very nice, and we all thought the food was lovely. My husband loved the prime rib special, my son enjoyed his brussel sprouts, and I thought the lamb was delicious. We also enjoyed a very nice pinot noir. I would definitely give this place two thumbs up for their menu and service!

Everything was great. The only reason that I marked the food down was the twice baked potatoes. Not sure where thy buy them (obviously not made in-house) but they are not good, certainly not to match the rest of the meal. Service was bright, speedy, and accurate.

It was a special occasion which was not mentioned once. The music was loud which I wasn’t aware of until we got there. The food was poor quality. We went there for Christmas Eve dinner which was great but my rib eye on the bone was 50% fat. The wife had 1/2 chicken which parts was under cooked. Was disappointed on what I paid for the entire meal And service was limited as she was also the bartender.

As always, Meritage is the perfect spot, whether for lunch or dinner. It seems like almost every time I go there I order the Thai glazed salmon - because it is simply one of the best preparations. If you sit in the bar area, Steven is just the best server, with impeccable service and thoughtful suggestions.

I go to Meritage quite frequently. I was there on Easter Sunday. Music was great, food was good. Our server, Steven, is fantastic. He is so attentive, makes the best drinks, and is so kind and caring. He makes the experience and is why I go with friends so often.

Meritage has an excellent menu and food choices. We like to sit upstairs and dine as they have live music that is very entertaining. Highly recommend the Prime Rib or the Bone in Pork Chop. The Meritage is excellent.
