Fabulous food and good service

I went to MesaMar to enjoy an early dinner with a first-date. This was a perfect choice. The wait staff sat us and were attentive with one exception: refilling our water. That said, our order were filled quickly and we were given our meals promptly. We shared a grilled octopus which was nicely grilled. My entree consisted of a paella for one which was more than enough for one person. It was very nicely done with enough seafood and flavor. Our dinner was rounded out with an almond dessert which was delicious.

After we we done, my date and I stayed for nearly another hour just talking; the wait staff never rushed us out.

All-in-all, MesaMar was a nice place to visit; I’ll likely be back.

The aesthetic of the restaurant is different. The food is ok. Some of the wait staff were pleasant but our waiter was not. He completely ignored us on our way out.

Service was great. Restaurant still not to full capacity and bar still closed, however ambiance was good. Great wine, great food

I had this restaurant on my bookmark list for years, until last Friday, we called Juan and Susy to join us for our monthly CWG (Couples Wine Group) and they couldn't go to the selected restaurant, so they offered a change of venue and here we are, MesaMar!

I'm allergic to Shellfish, so the options for me were very limited. I was planning on eating the Seabass because this is one of my favorite dishes, my friend Juan C suggested the Snapper and Steven our server fully backed his advice! I was very happy with the change of plans, everything tasted excellent and the service couldn't be better, we needed 16 wine glasses and Steven set up the table in a flash.

Then the saddest part of the night came, desert... I normally eat a bite or sometimes nothing at all, but it was so freaking delicious that after a little bite from the other 3 participants I ATE the whole thing. Yes, I added like a thousand calories in 2 minutes but my heart and stomach was happy!

At the end, Antonio, the manager passed by to check to see if everything was in order and as expected, I obviously complained about having such irresponsible deserts on the menu and he kindly apologized. So this concluded a night full of unplanned events and last minutes changes!!!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! The food is excellent and always fresh! Chef Fifi is amazing!

Excellent food and service despite outdoor dining.

I would of given it a 5 star but because of the pandemic I have to say I didn’t feel comfortable. The tables were right next to each other. I loved the food but won’t be going till Covid is controlled

As always MesaMar doesn’t disappoint. Appetizers, Main entree and of course the wine was amazing!

I received my Seafood mixed grill cold.
The side dishes didn't arrive on time, had to ask for it and came almost when everyone was finished.
Overall the food was great, attention should be given to service the customers by all waiters, they seen to be disoriented.

By far the best restaurant in Miami. They rock shrimp appetizer and their whole hog snapper entre are out of this world.

Over priced and very poor service. Would not recommend

The food was wonderful! The service was very good except when they got busier as the evening went on it felt like they were a bit short staffed. It is a bit pricy but the food and service are worth it. We will certainly return!

My favorite restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is impeccable and the place is beautiful ! I Recomend this place .

By far one of the best restaurants in Miami!! Their Hog Snapper is absolutely incredible.

No social distancing was observed, tables were full and not separate enough.

Consistently outstanding food and service!

Best seafood restaurant ever!!!! Their service is excellent, seafood is fresh, setting is super clean. What i love about this place is that they are always consistent! Food is always amazing! Drinks are beyond!!! Love love love this place. Def recommend!!!

Had an amazing time with my boyfriend. The fried calamari was amazinggggg. Also, the entrees were amazing 10/10 ❤️

Every thing was great, except the bar. I ordered a Negroni, a fairly known cocktail, and it came in the wrong glass, like a tropical drink instead of a short glass. The ingredients were out of balance, and the taste wasn't right. Other than that, the service, the food and the atmosphere were great. We will go back.

The food took very long

Went to celebrate my son’s 24th birthday. After spending just under $1K on dinner for eight people, I expected much more. Appetizers were tasteful, however, the portions were ridiculously small. We needed to double up on appetizers just so we can all taste them. The biggest disappointment was the Hogfish that We ordered to be prepared half grilled and half fried. When it arrived at the table I was in shock when I observed the suspiciously small yield of fish. Apart from being an avid fisherman and frequent consumer of fish, I was in shock with the small amount of grilled and fried fish yield I saw before me; allegedly from a 9lb. Hogfish. In addition, the fried portion was basically small round hard to chew chunks. Anyone that has ever eaten hogfish, knows it tender, far from a tough piece of fish. I took a photo and as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So either most of that fish fell off the tray before it arrived at our table or the chef is sharing it with other orders to maximize profit; most likely the latter. I never mind paying for quality, however, this blatant ripoff was unfathomable. The only reason I didn’t complain and leave on the spot, was not to ruin my son’s birthday. The service was excellent and the desserts were good. However, when you take advantage of a customer, you lose them for life. And for $1000 dinner, I expected much more. Will not return.

Meas Mar is terrific. Great service, but most importantly great seafood. The Hog fish is the best served half and half.

They had a delicious Hogfish dish with the head of the fish as part of the display of the dish. Outstanding!

best Hog Snapper ever , this fish was worth every penny all 55 dollars , big over 2 pounds perfectly cooked , and taste was amazing , I would give the food 10 stars if I could

Amazing restaurant!!!! Amazing food, service and drinks! Can’t believe i never found out about this place before. It’s a must!!!! Will def be back over and over again! Love!
