Great dinner and service from Kevin. Sat along the windows on the first floor and could actually hear each other across the table easily. The veal Milanese and salmon entrees were delicious though the salmon was a tad past medium. Wonderful basket of warm rolls. Portions were generous so we didn’t have room for dessert though they looked tempting.

Food was outstanding. Except for not being a bit more attentive about water refills, service was excellent. Music started out too loud, but was quickly fixed. Really enjoyed the night. But, noticed that a CC fee was added to the bill before we had chosen how to pay, In actuality, we used a gift card and our friends a CC. Need to ask before that fee is added to the bill. Thank you

Came here for a late Valentine's Day dinner date. Street parking was free after 6PM, so parking was not an issue. We were quickly sat down when we arrived (we were about 10 mins early for our reservation). This was our first time here, and our server was amazing. He suggested a variety of food and even suggested a really good cocktail. The ambiance was great, the seating was comfy, there was even live music in the other room and I had a really good time here!

We love White Dog for both lunch and dinner. Last night, I tried a different entre, the steak salad, which turned out to be very spicy. I wasn't able to finish the salad because of the very spicy dressing. I think that our waiter should have mentioned that it was very spicy and given me some opportunity to have it served on the side, or to select a milder dressing. It is the only poor experience that we have had at White Dog. We usually request the Library and ask for Nick. Last night, Nick was in the Happy Hour area, so we were not able to have him as our waiter. Thanks very much.

Discover Philadelphia

No longer just NYC’s 8th borough, Philadelphia is a well-kept secret, especially when it comes to food. Sure, you can still get a cheesesteak or its lesser-known, debatably better cousin—the roast pork sandwich—but the restaurant scene has taken off in recent years, with Israeli, vegetarian, and Spanish food in the mix. The provolone-lined cheese shops of eras gone by exist in bigger, better versions and the large, welcoming brasseries that dot Rittenhouse Square make you feel like you’re in Paris. Reading Terminal Market pays homage to Lancaster County’s Pennsylvania Dutch fare, with a bounty of pretzels and apple butter, while local bakeries, baristas, and breweries set a high culinary bar for the City of Brotherly love.
