The meanings here was outstanding. The scallops were cooked to perfection juicy with a fine flavour from the sauce which did not overpower the scallop. The cod for the main course again was cooked beautifully with a crisp skin and flaking brilliant white fish. Crème brûlée for desert was great with a fine flamed sugar topping. All in all a fine meal. Excellent value.

Nice vibe, food was absolutely delicious. Mushrooms on toast appetizer was the best I’ve had. Halibut perfect. Side salad greens tasted and crunched like they had been picked minutes before serving.

This is an amazing restaurant, in a secluded area off the main Newcastle streets. The ambience was very calm and can imagine this area in days gone by. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful and always available, checking we were ok. The food: I had the beef which was a take on beef wellington and cooked to perfection. Yes, a little pricey compared to other restaurants but the uniqueness, the service and the food: well worth every penny. Overall a great evening and would highly recommend.
