Two decades before Orchard opened in Verona, Deirdre Birmingham and John Biondi began work on a farm in the Driftless Area planting trees that, mostly, did not exist in this country.16,000 apple trees. Not eating apples. English and French cider varieties, certified organic. After20 years of improving drinks made from these apples, they built Orchard.Now drinks at Orchard trace back to the orchard in Mineral Point. The kitchen runs with the same patience as the farm. Chef Ian sources from the grower network Deirdre and John built before the restaurant.Friday fish fry is a weekly ritual. Brick-oven pizzas rotate seasonally.     They have the best pizza! There are so many unique pizzas to choose from on their menu, and they add seasonal ones as well. The interior is very clean and welcoming, and the bar area is cute too. My go to place in the Verona area for dinner out or takeout!

    This was our first time trying Zafferano. Loved the fusion menu. I ordered the eggplant parm with tikka masala. The eggplant had a nice crunch on the outer layer and the tikka masala was delicious. Could have used a little more sauce!! My husband ordered the scallops in butter sauce and that was fantastic. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend dinner here...we will be back.

    The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and they made the whole table feel extra special. The traditional ciders are varied, crisp and delicious, too! Can’t wait for the weather to be warm enough to enjoy their patio soon! The owner is so welcoming and kind!
