Had Sunday lunch at Ember Restaurant at Sheepfolds yesterday and it was honestly the best roast I’ve had in a long time. The quality of the meat was outstanding, everything was cooked perfectly, and the service was great from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a proper Sunday lunch in Sunderland!

The food was really good - some of us tried a couple of the specials while others had things off the main menu - everything was really good. The special Belly Pork pizza was particularly good. There were a couple of local real ales, a selection of other beers, lagers and ciders plus wines, a large range of spirits and cocktails and soft drinks. Service was excellent as usual and the band, Claypath, that were on later in the evening were really good. At a time when the Government seems to be intent on destroying our pubs, the Raby Arms continues to provide great nights out for its customers and show how much pubs would be missed by their communities if the Government does not stop taxing them out of existence. Support your local pub or lose your local pub. Buy one more drink, one more side, one more bag of crisps even - every little helps. This is a great pub, a big pub and still needs your support - and your support is easy to give as the food, drink and staff are so good.
