- LlindaGoldLondon •48 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 29, 2026This is honestly the best value best food best service restaurant in Berkshire ! I’ve been gong for over twenty years to Lsb and it’s simply the best menu at the best always price ! Yes it’s gone up a bit but omg for the quality and variance and service outside of London you simply can’t beat it ! A sign of a good restaurant, especially in the south east, is staff retention LSB staff are young die hearts they ve been with Paul forever and this shows mutual respect and for us punters it’s great to see a familiar face and be recognised as a guest or a long term guest they are great. I’m not affiliated to LSB in any way I simply just do not believe outside or even inside of London you will get a better value meal with first class food first class service well done LSB fives stars from me yet again . FYI I was a party of four and the other 3 guests said exactly the same !More infoLondon St Brasserie££££• British• Reading•4.7
- JJohnHertfordshire •2 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 25, 2026The Swan, Pangbourne - Sunday Lunch Review The Swan proved to be an excellent choice for a Sunday lunch meet-up with a friend. We were travelling from opposite directions, myself from St Albans and my friend from Corsham, and an AI recommendation suggested The Swan as an ideal halfway point. At roughly an hour's drive for each of us, its location on the banks of the River Thames provided a perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon. Parking at the pub is a little limited, particularly at busy times, but the Pangbourne Station car park is conveniently located directly opposite and offers a practical alternative. One small point for improvement is that OpenTable appears to need updating. My reservation was shown as being in the "Sports Screening Area", but on arrival I was informed that the televisions had been removed, and that sports screenings only took place during last summer's FIFA World Cup. Updating the listing would help avoid any confusion for future visitors. Being a Sunday, the choice was easy: roast beef for the main course, cooked exactly as I like it, followed by sticky toffee pudding, one of my all-time favourite desserts. Both were excellent. The service was equally impressive, with attentive and personable staff throughout. A particularly nice touch was that our server remembered my dessert choice from a passing comment I'd made while ordering the main course. The Swan is certainly somewhere we'll return to. Its central location also makes it a convenient meeting point for friends travelling from Winchester and Aylesbury, so next time we'll likely gather a larger group. To round off the visit, the riverside location offers some lovely walking opportunities along the Thames, making it an ideal place to linger after lunch. Overall: Good food, attentive service, a beautiful riverside setting, and a genuinely convenient meeting point for friends travelling from different parts of the South of England. Highly recommended for a relaxed Sunday lunch.More infoSwan - Pangbourne££££• British• Reading•4.5

- KKateBerkshire •3 reviews5.0Dined on Sep 18, 2026I regularly book at Bill’s for gatherings with a particular group of friends because the varied menu makes it possible for everyone to choose something they like. This occasion did not disappoint and the portions were generous and well-cooked. The waiter was attentive but not obtrusive and he gave us time when one one of our party was delayed. A very enjoyable eveningMore infoBill's Restaurant & Bar - Reading££££• British• Reading•4.4
