We went to Mother's Day brunch at Joey Gerard's and, as always, it did not disappoint. The options are fantastic and the food is amazing. My only complaint is that I always wish I could eat more of this amazing buffet.

Searching out a last minute reservation near Greendale, found The Eleanor online with positive reviews so we tried it. We arrived about an hour early for our reservation due to last minute schedule changes, but found seats at the bar quickly and ordered some drinks and a charcuterie platter. Bartenders were engaging and top notch. Great classic martini, gin and tonic. Good selection of spirits in general. Small but decent wine list. Charcuterie platter was good but a little light on the cheeses and meats for 3 persons. No complaints about the quality. Decor is upscale, with a sophisticated color palate and high quality appointments. Restrooms were absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated, although the signage was a bit confusing. Overall impression: quiet luxury. Seated about 8:15 for an 8 pm reservation. Ordered small plates: the slider trio was excellent, as were the brussels, and pork belly. Only miss was the flat iron steak shareable: excellent flavor but the beef was very chewy. Portions generous, prices moderate for the overall quality. Service was prompt, attentive and welcoming. Loved the table lamps, very cozy! We were very impressed to find a restaurant of this level in Greendale. Brookfield, Elm Grove and Menomonee Falls sorely need more independent upscale places like this. Due to the extended freeway construction from Waukesha County to downtown, we will be seeking out more of these hidden gems in the burbs.

Beautiful restaurant and waitress was outstanding,Russ manager was friendly also.I Had drink Kir,was delicious,we had baguette and butter(good) foie gras eclair(outstanding),morel mushroom tart(amazing),mains were trout(as good as any I've had in lifetime,and bavette steak(ok) with frites(outstanding), banana cream dessert wonderful,great meal and will be back
