Neighborhood Services - Lovers
We love this restaurant but last night it was off. Meatballs were dry like they’d been cooked early and just sat with only the bottoms in the sauce. Chicken enchiladas were terrible; my out of town guest only ate half. Service was rushed feeling; overall not typical of past experiences. Very disappointed for a visit with a first time guest.
My girlfriend and I just celebrated our 1-year anniversary here. This was also the restaurant we picked for our first date, so it was fitting to return to where it all started for us. The food is incredible and the service is top-notch. My only complaint (and it’s a very minor one) is that it can be a bit noisy. But again, this isn’t a huge deal.
The night was topped off with complimentary dessert and champagne, which was brought to us by our server and manager, who both thanked us for celebrating our anniversary with them.
We love this place!!
Still the best value and best food and cocktails / wine list on the West side of Park Cities / Bluffview. I have never had a bad experience in dozens of visits
I hosted a birthday dinner for a close friend. Everything worked out great. Service, food, vibe. Was great!
Absolutely love this place!! Wonderful date night atmosphere!!
Front staff was less than accommodating. We arrived early for our reservation and asked for an earlier sitting. Other guest that arrived without reservations were allowed to be seated and we were told we would have to wait for our exact reservation time. It was not a great experience. Thankful for the service we received from Alex. He definitely made up for the evening. We ended up eating at the bar and Alex’s service was above par!
I ordered the special fish #1 that day which was cod. The cod was just ok. There was almost no sauce on it as described. The waitress forgot our salad order and they were very backed up in the kitchen. The ribeye steak tasted like a bbq meat order. A little over hyped in my opinion.
Love all the locations of neighborhood services! This one has my favorite menu by far - we had the caramelized scallops, shrimp scampi (which was the pasta of the day), and the prime rib burger. Would recommend them all!
Everything was wonderful!!!!
Much tooo noisy. Very overpriced wine list & salads Good entre. No bread. Good service. Crowded small space.
Usually love it. Food was amazing. Waiter broke full wine glass. Didn’t replace wine. Then we paid and he brought us wrong bill. Had to reverse charges. Just created a mess. It happens I guess. And I will be back.
Great in all respects! Thanks
I have been to Neighborhood Services many times. Food was good salad excellent main entry -Cod special was a little on the salty side). Overall it never disappoints.
Paul and Rob were outstanding.
This restaurant is one of our favorite go to restaurants when we return to Dallas! It has the Park Cities Bluff View vibe, with energetic and engaging staff! We really enjoyed our recent dining experience with Anna hosting. The real to go, though, beside service is FOOD thoughtfully created and delicious to the palate, along with great cocktails, great wine selection. This time we both ordered specials, redfish with grits in a spicy sauce for me, and hubby ordered the sole, equally inventive spin on the classic meunière, served with polenta.... exquisite and tasteful. The wedge is probably the best in town!
Outstanding food and service. My family of 4 (including 2 teenage sons) absolutely loved our time at Neighborhood Services. Our server was wonderful and accommodating of some food allergies. Great food, great time!
It's a good restaurant, but seems to keep getting more and more expensive.
Saturday night, holiday weekend and there are only two bartenders? Seriously there are probably 12 seats full at the bar and another 15 people behind them standing, all waiting for drinks. Then, all the servers waiting for their dining room orders as well. Just awful service, easily 10 or 12 minute wait for a drink. I almost walked out. Ginger in the dining room however saved the day with her exemplary attention to every detail. The food was great and I had been dying to go here (this location) but would think twice because of how poor the bar-service was. Sorry! This is a no-brianer.. HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN for a busy bar. We all know the profit margins on liquor.
9:00 reservation was not honored as we got seated slightly after 9:30 and had to stand and wait just inside the door and have other diners push past us to enter and exit. Restaurant was extremely loud but food is good.
The food was excellent. I think our group of six said that's the best 'whatever' I've ever had about 5 or 6 different items. Some of the standouts were the brisket nachos, the burger, scallops, chicken piccata, fried apple pie, and the banana pudding. Our waitress, Melanie, was great and provided excellent service the entire night. We will definitely be back. It's a little tricky to find your first time because the sign is small and low so it's usually blocked by the cars parked out front. Trust your google maps, it's exactly where it says and there's usually a line for the valet service.
Neighborhood Services is always a winner. The food is perfect and the service is even better! The atmosphere is always energetic.
What a fabulous night. We had great small plates followed by an awesome dinner. Service was top notch the restaurant had a great vibe. We will be sure to visit again
Great food with a big city vibe. Reminds me of New York or Chicago. Highly recommend if you are looking for that feel.
Service was great, as always. The meatballs and asparagus were great
Everything was awesome as usual! Looking forward to dining there again when we’re back in town!
Always excellent but do loud it’s difficult to talk.
WOW!!!!! Had the ribeye and it was perfection, seasoning/temp/tender, one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The fried chicken was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back
Been here about a dozen times. Food is always great and service is usually too but last time I was not impressed by our waiter at all. Probably just an off night for him.
I slightly left my neighborhood bubble in Uptown, Dallas. I ventured out to Lovers Lane to dine at Neighborhood Services. They named this restaurant perfectly. They service the neighborhood extremely well. The setting is very upbeat casual. The place is always packed. The food is great and reasonably priced. Erik, our server, was excellent too. There is something on the menu for everyone to eat and not break your wallet. A great neighborhood gem. We will return soon!
All the Neighborhood Services locations are fantastic, but we always, always enjoy the delicious food and fantastic service at the Lovers location. Thankful for this gem.
My husband and I went for our annual Christmas dinner date. The service was fantastic. The only thing I can complain about is we had an 8pm reservation and didn’t get seated until 8:35pm. The food was amazing! We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer-A MUST! for entrees, we had the steak frites and grouper special with sides of Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese. All were amazing! We finished off dinner with banana pudding. We love this place and will definitely be coming back!!
Go there all the time. Excellent.
Amazing time was had by all. Great food in a great atmosphere.
Server with ponytail was only interested in turning tables.
Always an enjoyable meal and evening!
We have dined here since it opened 10 years ago. The wait staff are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We love BL, Will , Melony and Joel. It is our destination when our 2 children are in town. It is like visiting family. Absolutely LOVE it!!
Celebrate a marriage
It was a good experience and the food and drinks were excellent as well as the attentive service. We had the Wedge salad (2), scallops, London broil and large pork chop. Sides of cheesy grits and brussel sprouts were excellent, but the steak frites were too skinny and dry.
No dessert as we are on diet restrictions, but the Decaf coffee was very good.
Will definitely return.
PS Turning into the narrow parking lot for Valet is challenging as we overshot it and had to circle back around. We ended up parking close by at a closed business.
