I have loved Effervescence for small bites and cocktails on Sunday afternoons since my very first visit. It is ALWAYS an excellent spot to have drinks and the food is as exceptional as the champagne flights! This was my first time visiting long enough to order a favorite bottle after enjoying half flights. The decor and the ambiance enhance the experience. It’s a great place for long conversations with good friends and a great choice for weeknight dining as well as Sunday brunch! When leaving Effervescence I am always very happy. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Seafood boils are a tradition in Louisiana, and we’re adding to this flavorful part of our culture with our restaurant in NOLA’s Garden District. Hieu, the man who started BOIL Seafood House, grew up fishing for shrimp and crawfish, and he’s eager to share his passion for cooking up fresh catches. At our restaurant, you start by picking your seafood, your flavor, and then choosing your heat level. Then you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy your meal with everyone else who’s gathered around the table. It’s just like a backyard boil except for the fact that the food, cocktails, and craft beer never end. Bring your friends. Bring your appetites. It’s time to eat!More

New Orleans is renowned for its French cuisine, and you won’t have to leave the confines of The Eliza Jane to enjoy delicious fare within a French bistro. Couvant, the hotel’s on-site restaurant, specializes in classic French cooking with a modern, whimsical twist. Entrees pay homage to the city’s history and regional specialties. Never pretentious, the dishes and service at Couvant are purposefully simple and social. More
Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, three types of Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.More

French, Spanish and Creole influences evolved New Orleans cuisine into a genre all its own. Combine Gulf coast seafood, a butter-based sauce and Cajun spices, and you’re looking at a classic Nola dish. Take the famed crawfish boil, for instance, which locals advise is best eaten as a family. In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, the restaurant industry banded together to support their city in the wake of serious devastation. New restaurants began opening their doors, and today you’ll find a wealth of cuisines that span the classics to modern reinventions to everything in between.
