Originally from the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy, Antonio worked in Monte Carlo, then Bermuda where he met his wife Helen, an Atlanta resident. After moving to Atlanta in 1981, Antonio's life-long dream of owning his own restaurant became a reality when he purchased Nino's. For more than 38 years, Antonio has taken pride in serving authentic Italian Cuisine made with fresh, imported ingredients and cooked to order for each guest.
His reputation for serving exceptional Italian cuisine has attracted devoted locals who return time and again, along with a long list of celebrities who had heard of Nino's reputation and stopped in to sample the fare. Everything about our experience at Nino's was splendid. We were greeted cordially, our server was fantastic, and the food was spectacular. My rapini dish and our tiramisu dessert were probably the best I've ever had.

We’ve been eating at Nino’s for 20+ years, and never been disappointed. Same this time. The food was hot, delicious, plentiful and and promptly served. (The one thing that is subpar is the table bread.) Impressive desserts, too. Our waitress, Jillana (sp?), was terrific - friendly, knowledgeable, attentive without being annoying, and just plain charming.

It was unexpectedly pouring down rain as I was about to leave and the maitre d offered me an umbrella someone had left months ago. Told me to keep it, which I did because I would have gotten drenched trying to get it back to him. Paid it forward by giving it to the front desk of my hotel - as I was doing it, a young lady came up and asked if they had an umbrella she could use. Matter of fact..,,,

Well I taunted myself trying to find a good Italian restaurant and was on open table and yelp for hours trying to accommodate my husband and son’s love for Italian food. I read the reviews for Ninos and decided to try it. As I entered the hostess stand to let her know we were here for our 7p reservation I then stepped aside. It was busy. I mean very busy with a very limited wait area.
The hostess after 10 min said ma’am there is a spot in the corner for you to stand. I said in the corner. Um no. I will stand out of the way but not in the corner as you instructed. It was rude. After 40 min our table was ready. She thanked us for our patience and then handed us our menus. A nice Asian gentleman came over, made pleasantries and put an extra place serving down.

We waited a few more minutes to get water. We were not introduced to our waiter and my temperament started to get a few degrees hot. We also watched an older gentleman attend to the table that was seated after us and unbeknownst that was also our waiter. He finally came to the table and asked what we having. No explanation of the menu. No mention of there were specials, just nothing. I think he could see the irritation on my face. We ordered calamari to start, a glass of wine, beer and a sprite.. Bread and Bruschetta was sent over complimentary. The table next to us asked the waiter hey can we get some bread for our table. It’s pretty clear that it wasn’t a good night for that waiter. He lacked everything for our first experience. The calamari was good. We ordered: hubby chicken parmigiana, me a Cesar salad and baked clams, the son ordered SPAGHETTI AL PEPERONCINO EVA. Everyone loved their food. I have one complaint the Cesar dressing was not the taste I was looking for.

I’ll chalk the service up to a bad night. The food was good. I won’t say that I won’t go back but it will definitely be a minute!

I love the fact that this is a restaurant that has been in Atlanta for years. However I believe they are resting on their laurels. Not one staff member or server smiled or asked us how we were doing. I'm sure this has charm to some people but the level of service was poor. Our food was very underwhelming. My veal was overcooked and under seasoned. The only food on our table that was better than average was a homemade ravioli stuffed with sausage. We were rushed the whole time to get in and out of the restaurant as soon as possible. There are too many good Italian restaurants in this city to keep fequenting Ninos

Ninos is delightfully old school Italian! Waiters you recognize from each visit. The kitchen has great dishes like the pasta with vodka sauce and they’ll cook dishes not on the menu if you prefer.

I’d highlty recommend Ninos for a variety of occasions!

Table set up was not comfortable. We were seated in a corner with a long table and it was impossible to converse with each other not only because of seating arrangement but restaurant was loud. Our server even had difficulty hearing when we spoke to him. The room was dark and one could barely read the menu. Server was not as attentive as I would have expected for Nino’s. The food was average. I was served the clams with a red sauce over spaghetti. The clams were in shell, tough and some with bad taste . I could find no red sauce and many of the clams had not opened during cooking. Dead clams? Should not have been served. I ate the pasta and only a few clams.
The choice of deserts were scarce and frankly, not very tasty.
Sorry Nino’s you fell short.

We were very excited to try this restaurant but it was disappointing. The minute we sat down we were rushed to place our orders. We tried to tell the server that we wanted a bit of time to look at the menu and decide. That was not received very well. Some of the food was very good but other dishes were not great. The wine menu was very good.

I have been going to Ninos since it first opened.I grew up in New York in an Italian neighborhood and am used to good Italian food.Ninos fills a great void for me.It is by far the best Italian restaurant in Atlanta.Old fashioned Italian food like the Italian Mama's used to cook on the block where I grew up.The food at Ninos alwaqys pleases and the staff aims to please.Every meal there is memorable and to be frank,I have never had a bad meal there.

This restaurant is always excellent--5 Stars. Always. The clams oreganata are the best I have had anywhere including Italy. My table had fettucine bolognese with meat balls, pasta with baby clams, pasta with shrimp. All delicious. Some wine and bourbon. A great evening with close friends.
