    From start to finish Octavia did not disappoint. We came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday and it was our first visit here. The attention to detail in service and the explosion of flavor in your mouth made this one birthday celebration we will not forget.

    The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The restaurant was completely full and surprisingly not noisy. The service was stellar. We got the tasting menu and it was a lot of food but not so much as to make you painfully full.

    Octavia was my family’s favorite restaurant. Not anymore. The bread used to be magical, now it’s just ok. Portion sizes are tiny. Food is expensive. It used to be worth it. Not anymore. This was a special birthday dinner for my wife and I made sure they knew about it. They did nothing. I asked the waitress why they did nothing. She told me that since we did not order desert, they do nothing. I told the manager. He was nice, apologized, and offered to make it up to us, but it was too late. Damage done. We won’t go back.

    “Exquisite.” - A direct quote from my partner. Service was top-notch. Tasting menu was dynamic, lovely, flavorful. Server Jules was kind, accommodating, and generous. Outdoor dining was comfortable and pleasant. Superb. Octavia remains a favorite and hope to return soon.

    Food was excellent and creative. Corkage was reasonable and service was very good. I like how they change the menu every so often, keeps things fresh. My only advice is to go a la carte and not do the set menu.

    I booked a table of three for birthday dinner. We all ordered tasting menu and expected that number of dish, portion of food would be bigger as our server mentioned it will be a lot of food. Table of 2 next to us also got tasting menu. Through out the courses, we were served pretty much the same time. They also got same amount of food, except we had 2 pastas (they had 1), we got 3 desserts (they got 2). For 95$x3 , I dont think the whole meal's worth the price. We liked the creativity and combination of ingredients in all dishes but most of savoury dishes were way over salted. Service is outstanding! Atmosphere is the restaurant is excellent.

    Excellent food, well served by Melissa, who was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and the wines -- the heirloom tomatoes, the sliced bread, the pasta dish with pork and the duck entree were noteworthy -- strongly recommended.

    My husband and I had a lovely celebratory dinner at Octavia! It was our first time dining there, and after having to reschedule once before, we were so excited to finally make it happen. We sat outside in one of the parklets (the one on Octavia) and it was quiet and protected. Our meal was excellent—I think the stars were the halibut aguachile and the salmon entree. Overall, the service, food, and ambience were so enjoyable and we will definitely be back!

    The experience outside was not matching expectations, it felt we were inside of a wood box, there was no available seating indoor so outdoor was the only option, but comparing the two... it felt sad to be outside, nothing special about it, the food was ok EXTREMELY SMALL PORTIONS, and the service was rather poor with almost no introduction to the menu. I wouldn't repeat the experience

    The salads were delightful, but main offerings for vegetarians or vegans are slim indeed. So nice to be able to hear each other and not have blaring ambient sound!

    It was a little chilly eating in the outdoor patio, though there was heaters and blankets which was nice. Besides that the food and service was fantastic. Thoughtful farm to table and well executed. Server took their time when at the table and we felt very looked after. Pasta dish was 12/10; couldn’t recommend more; our plates were wiped clean.

    We were excited about eating at Octavia. We let them know when we reserved that we wanted to have the tasting menu. They made it very clear by the rapid delivery of the food, cramming many dishes on the table at once-while whisking away dishes without asking. During the last part of the meal, the entire kitchen staff was lined up and staring at us. Why take an 8:30 reservation if the kitchen CLOSES at 9:15? It was inexcusably unprofessional and just rude that they tried to rush us through our meal. Most of the food was quite good, except for the iceberg lettuce salad. Eat early or they will rush you out the door-or all stare at you until you leave.

    Hostess was extremely confrontational and didn’t want to seat our party together when there was plenty of open seats. She kicked us out at the end of our meal stating that another party was coming. No substitutions for the meal we’re allowed. Food was great service was not flexible.

    FOOD WAS SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. I wanted to treat my sister to a nice dinner. Food was not satisfying, Homemade bread was very hard, I wanted to wrap it in a soaked towel to rehydrate the bread in the oven, it may have just been stale tbh. I read this place had excellent food, but the food was such a let down, 8:30p reservations 4guests all on time & 9:40p no food other than the house bread brought out. After so many people who came after my reserved time, they got their entrees first. Ordered PORK CHOP: the fat was not rendered, my first bite after the hour wait was full of fat, it had some veggies that were just black and burnt not sautéed, not caramelized, burnt. I will not be trying again.
