Old Tbilisi Garden Is The Only Georgian Restaurant In Greenwich Village, New York City. Old Tbilisi Garden opened on July 4th, 2014. Since then, it has been one of the only few restaurants that offer authentic Georgian Cuisine in Manhattan. Winemaking is deeply rooted in Georgia’s history, culture
and economy. The world’s first cultivated grapevines are
thought to have originated in the country’s fertile valleys
some 8,000 years ago. Georgia’s long winemaking history
has given rise to unique methods of production, such as
the “Kakhetian rule”. Georgians make wine that is aged and
stored in a special cone-shaped clay vessel known as
a Qvevri.

Squeezing in as much cheese and carbs as I can for the rest of this year with this Georgian cheeseboat 🧀 Watching the cheese, egg, and butter get mixed, and those epic cheese pulls afterwards never gets old 😋 📍 @oldtbilisigarden , West Village, Manhattan #newyearsday #newyearsbrunch #brunchnyc #nycbrunch #hangoverfood

What a delightful find — wonderful Georgian food and very kind service. We especially enjoyed the Adjaruli khachapuri and Chef’s Shkmeruli.

Enjoy trying different foods and we spotted this place on several „should try“ lists. Our waiter was helpful when we were ordering because we weren’t sure of the best dishes or Georgian wines. Service was attentive without being too much. Food was tasty. Would definitely go again.

This was our first visit but probably not our last. The food is simple but delicious, a nice variety of options for all courses. I found a nice Georgian red wine to go with my meal. The service was warm, attentive and unfussy. The atmosphere was lively but not noisy, even on a busy Valentine's Day evening. The value for the quality of food and atmosphere is excellent!
