Wonderful restaurant with excellent food, wine selection, cocktails, service and ambiance! The place is always busy even on Mondays and Tuesdays; sure sign that they're doing things right.
Amazing food and staff.
The restaurant is very noisy and small. The service is excellent. The menu offers unusual dishes which were very tasty but not enough to fill most patrons, esp men. The wine selection is very good. I would recommend this restaurant to someone who wants to try something different but it is not a restaurant that I would choose over others.
a wonderful staff full of smiles & impeccable nosh
Awesome place. Music/ noise level too loud this Sunday night.
Terrific service. Well timed out courses. Delicious food as always
Went for a friend’s birthday. Food was delicious I just wish I had more than one bite of each dish we ordered - very small portions for the cost.
Lovely all round, especially for a special evening with friends.
Every single aspect of the meal was absolutely perfect. Try the scallops, plin, and rabbit!
I was disappointed with the service, felt like I was being rushed out. Also I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and they did not do anything special for the occasion. Was very disappointed about that.
Outstanding food, excellent wine list and cocktails, and wonderful service
Delicious food and the staff is so thoughtful and welcoming. We've been multiple times and love this restaurant!
This was my third visit to Osteria Langhe. I brought a friend here for her birthday, because my first two experiences were superior. I was not disappointed this time, nor was my friend. We shared a quiche appetizer: Yes, that sounds odd for an Italian restaurant; it was outstanding. My friend took one bite & looked at me & said, "Oh, I see why you wanted to come here!" We each had pasta as entrees: Mine was a shrimp tortellini. It was simply delicious. Our server was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait to return to Osteria Langhe!
The mushroom quiche was the best thing ever!
Fabulous! The Plin are delicious! They burst with flavor and texture in your mouth. The panacotta was the perfect comfort dessert.
Fantastic experience. Friendly staff, great vibe, superb food , great wine choices. A unique place. Great for foodies.
A lovely neighborhood spot - small and intimate, though a bit noisy. But it gives off a nice, friendly vibe. All three of our dishes were well prepared, properly proportioned, i.e. not too big, and beautifully presented. I told the front of the house that we would like a birthday dessert for one in our party, and asked that it be added to the bill. The luscious donuts with creme anglais and raspberries was a real treat, and comped by the restaurant. What a nice gesture.
Delicious food. Great service. Authentic neighborhood gem.
Amazing meal from start to finish. Highly recommend ordering lots off the menu to share with a group. Some of the highlights include braised octopus, plin, spaghetti with ragu, beef Wellington, and the rabbit.
Everything was great as usual’
First time here. Great service and unique food.
Favorite restaurant in Chicago, easy. Great food, great drink, great people.
We had a few minor misses on the food but overall was still delicious as always. Osteria Langhe remains one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago.
Amazing food and service. We've been several times and it's always just as good as the last.
The portions were appallingly small. Waitress should have pointed that out when we sat down and/or were ordering.
The food is delicious, and Aldo (the owner) is a great host. Highly recommended!
Excellent food, service, cocktails. I was intrigued by the vermouth flights, might have to check that out next time
No one does Northern Italian better!
I love the staff here. Everyone is so nice and they are all very attentive without being obnoxiously in your face! The food is excellent and the intimate setting is perfect for catching up with a friend or a date-night.
Fantastic food and wonderful service. We went for my husband's birthday and had an amazing dinner! The plin is not to be skipped!
This restaurant was my daughter's choice for her 30th birthday dinner with family and friends. Everything was wonderful. The food and service were excellent. My only negative comments was that it was a cold evening in February and I was a bit chilly as our table was near the door. My other comment was that there were not any salads on the menu that were leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, etc). While I recognize that this may be consistent with Northern Italian cuisine in the winter, I do wish there were some leafy greens available. The other dishes (pasta, steak, chicken, antipasti) were all wonderful. Thank you.
Best Italian food ever! All the misconceptions I had about Italian food has changed for me after having dinner at Osteria two days ago. The portion size and the taste were both perfect. Vegetarian options were few but they were awesome! I can only imagine how good the meat dishes are! Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for quality food! The occasion doesn’t matter just visit and have a good time!
My personal favorites were the salad with butternut squash if I remember correctly, crepe dish with oats and sauce and salmon dish with sunchokes and Brussel sprouts.
We love Osteria Langhe! The food is fantastic and the plin is hands down one of the best dishes in Chicago. We have always experienced great service, and we enjoyed the cocktail menu. Could not recommend this place more.
Top quality food, service, presentation. Staff knows how to take care of patrons. Well managed, thank you.
Food portion too small and too expensive. Needs to be downtown with more fancier bigger space to charge those prices.
The Plin was a melt in your mouth pasta! I do believe them when they told us that people have said the dish is Italy was not as good. The dishes were all excellent and good Piedmont wine selection - all from Italy. I wished we had not been rushed in the end to get to another function. It was good to savor the food and atmosphere. A bit cold facing the window in front though.
We ate here in the past and LOVED IT.
They sprung a prix fixe menu on us this time. Meal was MUCH more than we expected to pay. Disappointed
This place never disappoints! Make sure to get the plin!
I come here often. This place is exceptional. One Plin per guest is a good rule of thumb.
This place was a revelation! The octopus was delish, the buttered ravioli finger-licking good and the rabbit and roast pork loin were mouth watering. You won’t be disappointed!
