The food was to die for. Recommend the tortellini! Also have a great wine list. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and just from noting on the Open Table app the hostesses made sure to wish us a happy anniversary and we got free affogato (also recommend) overall awesome and I want wait to go again!
The food was very good and a reasonable value. The staff was very friendly but there were some issues with the kitchen that slowed service to a crawl. The noise level was WAY to loud for comfortable conversation.
We ate here for our 1 year anniversary; it was very nice.
Food lived up to expectations based on reviews I read. Even though we arrived early, the waiter seemed to be too busy to provide good service based on reviews.
The food is always amazing. They do a Risotto special that changes every week, and I always end up getting it even though I want other menu items. It’s just always too good to pass us!
Just. The. Best.
One of the best meals I've had in some time; great wine list, too.
Food is phenomenal, service was excellent, and my experience was positively memorable. Definitely try the plim, risotto, and the ragu.
The atmosphere is hip and cozy without being too much of either. The service is attentive but not overwhelming. Food is inspired and perfectly portioned. The Tuesday prix fixe is one of the best deals in the city. One of the best meals we’ve ever had here.
The ravioli and the pulpo are out of this world, I felt like I was in Italy eating food. Wine selection is great and service is overall good.
Never dissapoints. Some of the best red wine in the city.
expensive ants very very loud. food was fine if a bit salty.
Excellent server Becky really knew the menu and the wines. The Plin was outstanding. A few things we ordered we could have skipped but all in all it was worth the trip.
Excellent restaurant - quality food, good service, and very nice atmosphere and ambiance - comforting and cool without being overly trendy.
Osteria Langhe has delicious and unique
selections. The staff is great- I’ve had the same waiter three times, his wine recommendations are perfect. We also enjoy the intimate size and non rushed atmosphere.
Good food. Friendly, very attentive service. Nice, reasonable wine list with many good options. Good cocktail program. Have a Negroni. Fish slightly overcooked, which is not unusual. Otherwise, the food was excellent!
Wagyu beef was incredible. Fairly small portions for the price though.
Second time at Osteria Langhe and everything was fantastic once again. If you only order one thing, let it be the Plin.
Another fabulous meal.
The gnocchi, octopus, vitello tonnato, the pork, the halibut, the rabbit...all excellent dishes.
Great service, nice northern Italian wine list.
It’s a bit noisy...needs some help with acoustics, but not a reason to stay away.
The food was very mediocre and the room was very loud. Our experience definitely did not match the ratings
Found the place on the internet as second best Italian restaurant - well, whatever no 1 is, Osteria Langhe was a wonderful surprise, good food, excellent service - an overall pleasant experience.
Loved it! Food was delicious and atmosphere was great! Would come again.
Great service, delicious pasta dishes, awesome wine list!!!
Our waiter was absolutely fantastic! Made the whole experience great.
Excellent food, although quite rich. Really nice family celebration. Excellent pasta, melt in your mouth pork, delicious wine. Fish was good, but not as special as everything else. Hazelnut cake was a bit dry. At the end of our meal the restaurant was full and quite noisy. Go early if you want to hear the other people at your table.
Consistently great food. Friendly and helpful owners/wait staff. Highly recommended.
Osteria Langhe was much more than expected! The food is exceptional, especially the handmade ravioli (plin). The staff was attentive and the atmosphere is small and intimate. We were provided excellent explanation of the menu and everyone was very satisfied. I will definitely be coming back again in the very near future.
Great deal Tuesday, but worth every penny any night of the week. We always get the octopus, without exception. It is hard not to lick you plate clean.
Every Northern Italian-inspired dish was unique, delicious. The wine list was lovely and varied in terms of price range, and our bottle went perfectly with our selections. Server helpful with wine pairing. The anchovy dip, the mushroom tart (or quiche) are only two things I’ll go back for-my family loved their choices. Oh and get the plin! We will be back as soon as we can💜
I had a wonderful meal at Osteria Langhe - this was my second time there and it was just as enjoyable as Round 1. Beautiful food with interesting, unusual ingredients. Excellent wine list that doesn't completely gouge you on pricing and a perfect cozy ambiance that is great for catching up with old friends (or family). Highly recommended!
Wish I could give it 10 stars. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years. The Chef is personable and gracious and knows his craft well. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Run don’t walk to this place.
Second time here. Won’t miss it when I’m in Chicago.
I came here for my birthday dinner, it was a wonderful dinner! The food, drinks and staff were equally amazing. It was a great experience, we will definitely return and totally worth the 30 minute drive!
Great food, as always. Terrific service from Becky. Very good about food allergies and helped us settle on some terrific dishes and wine. It's a wonderful restaurant for special celebrations. The portions aren't huge, but they're perfect for sharing. The mushroom tart, plin, and the steak were real standouts.
I was very excited about coming to this place. I probably had very high expectations that were not met. I loved the pasta, I thought the meat was kind of generic.
Great food and service. The best Italian restaurant in Chicago.
The food is beyond incredible!! Great ambiance! Wonderful wine list and very helpful with wine selection.
Really knowledgeable staff, food was outstanding, definitely coming back soon!
The food and the service was excellent at this restaurant. Everything on the menu looked good so we decided to ask for some recommendations from our waitress, Debra. She recommended the Plin (ravioli), the rabbit loin, and then we added the Gnocchi, and the Ragu. All was excellent and the Rabbit Loin is a must here! The place is small and the tables are close together but we really enjoyed our experience here. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian and something away from downtown Chicago!
