Great neighbor gem for brunch, lunch or dinner. Sunroom with fire pit is an added bonus to the fun atmosphere herein. Highly recommend this restaurant for your every day meals or special occasions.
One of our favorite restaurant / pubs in Northwest suburban area. Went for large family event to celebrate 2 birthdays. Bar menu and craft beer offerings excellent, as always. However, I don't like the new menu as much as prior. Large entrees like meatloaf and chicken cutlet have been replaced by bowls. My Korean bowl and friends Buddha bowl were good. Yet two beef stews we ordered had almost no beef. Another tuna bowl ordered was so spicy, my friend almost couldn't finish. Sending this critique, so chef and kitchen staff can get feedback to re-think new menu.
We were seated on the patio and initially it was a little cool, but they turned up the heater and it was fine. Our server was Mitchell and he was great. He didn't hover, but was periodically checking to make sure we had everything we needed. He has a great sense of humor and is very engaging. Our drinks and food were delivered fairly quickly and were warm and flavorful. We went to the bar after dinner to have a drink and received free Stella glasses from a promo that was going on. All in all, it was a very good evening.
Food was fine, service was fine, ambiance was nice. However, my wife is very allergic to dogs. We were seated in the closed in tented area (fully enclosed as it is winter) and they allowed a huge fluffy dog in. Not a service dog, just someone's dog. We had to leave within 10 minutes, ruining our night out as my wife was instantly sick. This was a bummer, and I don't think should be allowed. I love dogs, this was just not the place. Maybe in the summer when it is actually open air, but this was like being inside, seated next to a 100lb husky.
Love that they are dog friendly on the patio even in winter and have a dog menu!!
My food was mediocre. I had the fish taco which was a first time for me so maybe I didn’t know what to expect but hot fish on a cold taco did not work well.
My favorite place for Sunday brunch. Even my dog can tag along!
Dinner with my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew who were in town from Florida. Good quality time in our own private room. Very nice.
We love their enclosed outside patio and decorated great for the holidays. Their menu has great selections and unique, tasty items especially for a pub type place. And the noise level on the patio is really nice -- much better than Mickey Finns and other Libertyville choices.
Our family frequents O’Tooles and this was by far our worst experience. The chicken breast in the quinoa bowl was extremely dry. Made the dish inedible. The burger was burnt and was asked to be cooked to medium. We had to ask other servers to get our server for us twice. He never came back to ask how the food was or if we needed more drinks. I hope this isn’t a trend!
Michael is always very attentive and has a great attitude. Our meals were all delicious. We love visiting O'Toole's.
Mitchell was amazing
THEY have a great menu and the service was excellent. This restaurant is great for quite dinners and business meetings
We met up with some friends for a quick meal. My Husband had the salmon burger, which was delish and our friends had the Cobb salad and Burrito bowl and both were very happy with the meal. We would definitely recommend and go back.
Our waiter, Mitchell, was phenomenal!
Excellent service and food was delicious.
Always enjoy our visits to O'Toole's. Never disappointed.
I bring my parents for the first time, everything was excellent
My sons 14th Birthday! He picked the restaurant and lob
Love their patio! Great ambiance and dog friendly!
Menu selections and food taste is average, but the prices are far too high for what you get.
Family in town from the Netherlands
O'Toole's has always been one of our "go to" places, but this visit paled in comparison to our normal five star service that we receive. First reason for the poor review is that out of the seven of us at our table, three didn't receive the meat with their bowls/salads! It was just left off completely. When the meat was brought, it wasn't the quality we typically receive at O'Toole's. The second reason for the poor review is that the waiter was not very attentive - we waited a long while to actually get to order and then after the food was brought we were left waiting before he came back.
This was an off night for O’Tooles. They didn’t honor my request for outdoor seating via Open Table. I learned that walk-ins take priority to Open Table reservations (even if your reservation is made well in advance). The hostess made no effort to honor the request, she was really just incredibly rude and I’m pretty sure customer service isn’t her strong suit. I was also unimpressed with the manager. I brought my out-of-town friend here to show off the place but tonight was a bust. Usually consistent with food and service, I was disappointed tonight. Mike the server tried to help turn the experience around, I appreciate his effort. In the end I’m local; I’ll return.
We really enjoy their outdoor space. One reason is that there are no TVs! You can actually have a conversation. The tables are a little small, so sometimes you feel a little squeezed in, but I appreciate their trying to accommodate more people outside. Menu does change fairly often and usually interesting specials. Good value as many selections in the $12-15 price range. Great beer selection.
Food, drinks, location and atmosphere are great every visit!
Our table of four included 3 generations, and we were grateful that we were seated in a quieter corner of the restaurant. This wasn't our first visit to O'Toole's, and it won't be our last. Our server was wonderful. The beer list is amazing, and the atmosphere very upbeat. Happy campers!
Always great! Good choices and service. Welcoming space.
It was really good ! The food and the service
Love love love the outdoor patio! We had a server, Lexi, who said she was new, but she was excellent!
Pleasant outdoor dinner, all food very consistent and service very prompt
Food is always good. We were there for a celebration and enjoyed ourselves. Our server was terrific.
Food was delicious. Started out with fried calamari. Had also their flatbread which I enjoyed. The chairs out on the patio could be a little more comfortable.
Great Comfort Food although my fish and chips was not bad it also was not great.
we had a wonderful meal, served quickly and we had plenty of time to get to Margarita 101. I have been gluten free for about a year and this was the first time I've had a GF Reuben! It was great!
Old friends get together
Great service and food! The staff at Libertyville is the best!
This is our go-to place on Friday nights. Great bottle of wine. Our friends had the boar meatloaf which is always a stand-by favorite. And my wife and I split the steak sandwich which was superb. Love it! Sat n the patio with the heaters.
The service and consideration of the staff was excellent. One of our party has food allergies and the waiter went out of his way to verify food content to our satisfaction. Easy parking. Clean, nicely decorated restrooms. Food was delicious and served quickly. Fantastic experience for us. We’ll be back!
Great food as usual. Good for groups. Huge beer menu and great cocktails. Good service.
Our waiter, Mitchell was excellent. Our hostess was very quick and efficient.
Service was excellent. The fish fry was over cooked and greasy. The batter needs to be changed. Our beverages were excellent.
The soup and sides were very good. We eating here before and the food was excellent.
We will definitely go back.
