**Wonderful Food and Service, but Pricey** We had a wonderful evening at Pasta Moon in Half Moon Bay\. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the overall dining experience was very enjoyable\. My only criticism is the pricing\. While I appreciate good food and service, the prices are on the high side, especially considering this is Half Moon Bay, not San Francisco\. That said, it was a great experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening\. Definitely worth visiting for a special occasion\!

We were greeted very warmly by the host. The food was excellent. Our waiter was somewhat brusque. He was not very attentive. Did not refill our wine glasses, did not offer pepper on our salads, did not return to ask how our meals were. Overall, left us feeling like we were a bother to him.

First visit. Lovely busy large room w open kitchen, good looking plates going out. Pleasant surprise given my modest impression of local options. Then service was extra. Lots of touches, genuine hospitality. Would unquestionably return.

Terrific Italian food accented by delicious local ingredients. Terrific service, lively atmosphere and, full bar with great selection of interesting Italian reds to complement your meal. Pumpkin tempura and Liberty Farms duck gnocchi specials were terrific, as were the mussels. Salads and soup all super tasty, and the pastas can’t be beat. The lasagna, puttanesca and papardelle were all delicious; each totally distinct and unique, but all providing that warm wrap of delicious comfort food. They taste as good as you imagine them to be. Our meat eaters also raved about the skirt steak and the pork chop. All of the food was simply top notch. Not a single complaint. Drinks and vino also fantastic. And the pacing and service was awesome. Special meal With friends in a special place. Highly recommend for a high end, high energy meal when you’re in our around Half Moon Bay. Looking forward to the next visit.
