    Our private dining space offers a 180° view of the Neuse River with a private balcony lounge. The room seats up to 65 people comfortably and offers a service bar and a 45” high definition television for visual presentations. The upstairs level is handicap accessible with restrooms. We do occasionally rent out the entire building for larger functions such as weddings that will exceed 65 guests. Please let us know if you would like information for entire restaurant rental fees. Persimmons will provide the tables, chairs and basic glassware, china and silverware. Any additional decorations and or tablecloths would be up to the host to provide and cannot cause damage to our property. Parties of 16 or more will order entrees from a limited menu of up to 3 options predetermined by the host. Please inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the event so that we can accommodate these needs with accuracy.

    We enjoyed our dinner! We loved the calamari, but asked for extra aioli, which was really yummy! The fish and chips were good, however I prefer batter fried rather than a corn meal base. But they were fairly crispy. My husband had the Caesar Salad with salmon added. Not too much romaine lettuce, but the salmon was good. (He was never asked how he would like it cooked.) Our server, Cassie, was great

    My husband and I have wanted to dine at Persimmon for several years, and we finally got the chance on our most recent trip to New Bern. We had a wonderful time and a wonderful meal! The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive and added to our enjoyment with our meal. My husband had the shrimp burger with sweet potato fries and I ordered the barbecue peach salmon. Both were wonderful as was the fried green tomatoes and crab cake appetizer we shared before our entrees. I had a glass of sparkling rose with my dinner that was also very good. We can't wait to return!

    The sweet potato risotto was AMAZING. The staff were so friendly and sitting out on the patio overlooking the river was picturesque. We will definitely go back.

    It was great that we had a reservation otherwise it would have been 2 pm before we would be seated. The location and view are great! We ordered from brunch menu, the food was average tasting. I had the omelet with chorizo and I could barely taste it. The brunch prices seemed ok.

    Reservations mean nothing. Still had to wait 30 minutes for a table to open up. Restaurant was extremely noisy. Waitress did not understand English well enough to get our order correct and wasn’t familiar with the menu. For an upscale restaurant in New Bern downtown, diners expect a bit more.

    Good was good. Server was excellent! Flys were terrible. Brown butter cake for dessert was absolutely amazing…no joke! Overall a good experience.

    Wonderful way to relax in historic New Bern after touring the Palace. I had the best Mahi Mahi fish tacos I've experienced in a while. Service was very attentive and polite, food was brought in good timing - not too fast and not too slow so we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Topped it off with a chocolate dessert drink!

    Hush Puppies were delicious and the garnish was a real treat. Shrimp and Grits and garnish were wonderful. Sea Bass was prepared just right. Service was outstanding - quick and helpful and friendly. Lava cake and cheesecake finished off the great meal. Great views of the river.

    The noise level was deafening. Fried green tomatoes were not crisp and the crab cake was disappointing. My husband had the blackened mahi with crab and the crab was almost unidentifiable. I could not recommend this restaurant for future visits. It did not match the expectation set forth in Our State magazine at all.

    I normally love love love the fried green tomatoes, this time they were shy of the mark. The prime rib was amazing though and overall another great experience. I love that we can make reservations….

    It’s a beautiful spot but the hostess had a major attitude. Apparently a lot of their dishes get sent back. My chicken was dry and my friend had a huge bone in is fish.

    Had a wonderful lunch at Persimmons. The food was outstanding, the service was super-great waitress who left us alone and didn't rush us at all. Highly recommend the Persimmons Bloody Mary! A hint of heat but very gentle and very tasty. We enjoy every meal we have at Persimmons, and we enjoy sitting at the bar for cocktails and munchies on occasion.

    What a great location and venue! The three of us all very much enjoyed our meal. I had the sea bass, while my friends had the pasta with chicken and pork, and the other the salmon - we all ate it up! The pimento cheese hushpuppies we really great. Absolutely NO complaints, we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving, we did have a reservation. While we waited we sat out on the deck and enjoyed the view. A return trip for sure! Thank you
