About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
Located on London's iconic Dean Street in Soho, Prix Fixe Brasserie is a restaurant loved by locals for its affordable French brasserie cuisine. This is the kind of restaurant people come to for low-key lunch meetings, first dates and to wine and dine in comfort before hitting the Soho bar scene or one of the many local West End theatres. Cosy and intimate, the dining room is decorated with blackboard menus, ruby red feature walls, wooden floors and vintage French posters, and both the prix-fixe and a la carte French menus are peppered with favourites such as the confit of duck with French dauphinois potatoes, steak entrecôte with home made French fries and garlic maitre’d butter, classic Boeuf Bourguighon with creamy mashed potatoes, Brasserie Salads and many more. The prices at Prix Fixe Brasserie are almost ridiculously reasonable for Soho, and the quality of the food and service surpasses expectations time and again.

Lovely food, well presented and very nice staff. Particularly appreciated the fact that we phoned as we were running late and the staff had made a note on our booking.

If you found a spot with this much quality and value and warmth of welcome in France, you'd be thrilled. Having ignored Prix Fixe for decades, I've now eaten there 4 times in 3 months, with family and with friends, and we've all been delighted with the ambience, the food, the wines, the service, and the lightness of the bills. An absolute go-to for me now.

French Onion Soup was delicious and hot Both the Lamb and Duck were well cooked, little vegetables though. Raspberry Creme Brulee was disappointing - presentation could have been better and Raspberry was almost non existent.

We had a lovely meal at Prix Fixe yesterday. The food was excellent and the service was equally good. A really enjoyable experience from start to finish. Would happily recommend and look forward to returning!

This is easily the best French restaurant I’ve experienced in England and beats the socks off most of those I’ve visited in France. Good honest French food, prepared and served without the faff and pretentiousness of many others, I’ve not had a bad experience here. I live 200 miles outside of London, but always head here when in the area - it really is that good. Staff are always courteous and attentive without being intrusive. I’ve made a number of visits both with friends and family and as a solo diner, lunchtimes and dinner. The two course menus represent astonishing value, with plenty of choice to mix and match. Always best to book ahead if you’re able and avoid disappointment. Bon appetit!

Another great meal from the Prix Fixe team. We return every year and it continues to be one of the best bistros in Soho, if not London.
