We had a party of six and our waitress was excellent! The food was excellent and the ambiance perfect on the patio! I highly recommend 1855 and have been telling everyone to go there!

We sat out on the screened-in porch with the heater on for dinner, comfortable on a cool fall evening. Great food, excellent service, and everyone was happy.

Nice place to eat at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon because we were going to a 6 o’clock badger game. Outdoor dining is nice, it’s actually a covered screened porch. Couldn’t really tell you what it would be like at a normal dinner time. Convenient, not too far from Madison itself. I would recommend.

The service was great and the outdoor seating is nice. However the food is average at best, with seriously overpriced appetizers for the quality and quantity that you get. The cocktail from the bar was unpalatable. They were blaring country music which was obnoxious but if you’re into that it would be less off putting.
