Located on the 71st floor, 71Above features breathtaking panoramic views of Los Angeles, the Pacific Ocean, Malibu, Laguna Hills, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Dinner is served as a three-course prix-fixe experience, with all dining room guests participating in the coursed menu. The Restaurant and Skylounge observe a smart casual dress code. Jackets are not required; hats, athletic wear, shorts, and flip-flops are not permitted.

Seating requests, including window tables, are noted but not guaranteed. An 18% service charge is added to parties of six or more. Valet and self-parking are available nearby.

    Enjoy panoramic views of Los Angeles with this reservation for our 3 course prefix menu in our dining room. WINDOW TABLES ARE NOT GUARANTEED for any reason, but will do our best to accommodate requests. No a la carte menu is available in the dining room and we kindly ask all guests to participate in our 3 course, $109.00 per person menu. Parties of 6 or more will include an automatic 18% service charge for the staff. A credit card is necessary to reserve the table but will not be charged unless the party late cancels or no shows. Business casual dress code required. No sports wear, flip flops, shorts or ball caps allowed. Children are welcome but we are a fine dining adult atmosphere.

    We chose 71Above to celebrate a special occasion, and unfortunately, the experience fell well below what we expected for the price. We requested a window table in advance and waited over an hour at another table while several window tables appeared to remain empty. I understand seating requests aren’t guaranteed, but the wait was frustrating. Our server also informed us that a new employee would be training at our table. Throughout dinner, she struggled to explain the menu and needed repeated guidance on basic service details, including silverware placement and drink service. The frequent corrections at our table made the evening feel awkward and interrupted our celebration. I understand that everyone needs time to learn, and I don’t blame the trainee. Management should make sure new staff have the preparation and support they need to deliver the level of service guests are paying for. The food and drinks were also underwhelming. At this price point, I expected a memorable meal and attentive, polished hospitality. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. The view alone wasn’t enough to make up for the disappointing food and service. For a special occasion, I would choose somewhere else.

    I just recently dined here and was let down, yes the views are amazing, decor is solid, vast drink menu, but that’s really just a facade over the average food, that really doesn’t stand out in the sea of amazing LA restaurants. Don’t expect dress code to mean much either, unless pajamas are now business casual. The server could barely recommend a dinner flow from appetizer to main to dessert. The bread was mediocre and that it was an added cost was even more interesting. The appetizers were good, but again average flavor profiles. The mains were definitely better, with a generally good flavor profile, but also some odd pairings that were not necessarily bad, but just interesting decisions were made. Finally when it came to pay, they let us know they didn’t take American Express (AMEX), that’s after having booked and secured the reservation with an AMEX card. This is absolutely insane, considering having dined in many restaurants and have NEVER seen one not take AMEX, especially in a city known for its sponsored venues, black cards, and corporate AMEX expense accounts. It makes me wonder if 71Above is living off a high versus reality.

    They don’t guarantee the table by the window, understandable. But when they move somebody who was behind to a nicer table, acknowledge in your face and arrogantly laugh at you - that is a problem. Shame on you, manager Alex. You don’t deserve to work at place like this where treating customer with respect is a must. Never will be back here.

    Everyone treated us so well all the staff was amazing not to mention every plate that came out tase better then the rest, ambiance amazing did I say the staff was amazingly kind….. the food 100/10… thank you so much for a wonderful experience evening.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤍

    The entire experience was amazing! In addition to the 3 course meal, there were a number of "compliments of the chef" that added to the ambiance. The view! The view was an experience all in itself. We will most definitely be back!
