Simply one of the best small restaurants in Adelaide. A place to wine and dine with a delightful array of dishes-you cannot go past the 'feed me menu' and then just sit back and let Wild at Heart do what it does best. A perfect night to wile away a few hours with friends and family, enjoying a place with the ambience and music of a New York city hideaway.

A beautiful venue with a cozy ambiance - an excellent use of a small space. The food, including the whiting, gnuddi, and cordon bleu, was largely bland and came in unreasonably small portions. High prices are to be expected for gourmet fine dining restaurants, however in this case the higher price did not reflect higher quality. Service from staff was warm and friendly though a tad inattentive.

Booked Sunday lunch after seeing their website by chance- so glad I did! The 2 course lunch menu had plenty of options & our choices all tasted amazing. The wine recommendations were spot on. Service was with friendly smiles that made you feel welcome. Have recommended to friends & will definitely go again when next in Adelaide.

FAQs

The restaurant offers an intimate, relaxed dining room rather than separate private‑dining rooms. The owner notes a warm, welcoming space meant for lingering and sharing; the business does not offer private party bookings, so large private rooms aren’t available. For special seating requests, call the venue directly to discuss options.

Portions are designed for sharing alongside fuller mains. The menu mixes smaller plates and generous shareable items, for example, slow‑roasted lamb shoulder (served for 3–4) and a 600g Chateaubriand meant for 2–3. You’ll find lighter options and salads as well as hearty mains, so ordering a few plates to share is a good approach for most groups.

Warm, intimate and French‑leaning. Guests describe elegant brasserie styling with attentive, friendly service and a pleasant outlook over Hurtle Square parklands. The tone is refined but relaxed, suitable for casual catch‑ups, date nights or special evenings, with an emphasis on lingering over shared plates and thoughtfully paired wines.

Business casual is the recommended dress code. The setting is elegant yet relaxed, so smart casual attire fits well for both lunch and evening dining.

Busiest times are likely weekend service and evening sittings, guests especially mention Sunday lunch positively, while quieter times tend to be earlier weekday lunches or early evening mid‑week. Because seating is intimate and the venue is popular, booking ahead for weekend nights and Sunday lunch is recommended.

Yes, it’s a lovely choice for date night. Guests describe an intimate, French‑leaning dining room with attentive, friendly service and a picturesque outlook over Hurtle Square. The menu is refined yet relaxed, with shareable plates and a sommelier‑curated wine list that make for a leisurely, romantic evening. Consider booking ahead for a weekend evening or Sunday lunch to secure a cozy table.

Sunday lunch is a well‑liked option, a guest specifically booked and enjoyed a Sunday 2‑course lunch, and weekend evenings are popular for a romantic night out. If you prefer a quieter experience, aim for an earlier mid‑week seating after opening at noon (they’re open Wed–Sun). Calling ahead to reserve your preferred time is a good idea.
