I was really excited about this for Brunch. It is a limited brunch menu so when 2 items were unavailable it was a bit disappointing. The only cocktails for brunch were a mimosa or a bloody mary. We had French toast and the Creole Benedict. While good, not great. The benedict was lacking "creole" in our opinion. The restaurant was not very busy and it felt like everything took quite a bit of time. There is live music during brunch out on the patio.
Whoever designed the front of house did a spectacular job from the decor to the flatware to the plates and glasses - just beautiful. I know it's a new place so I will give it another shot to hope they work out the kinks.
NO oysters and gumbo was brutal!!! 2pm-3pm when we were there for music 11-3!
Great place food was fantastic
Nice patio and great food!
Great food and drinks. They were super busy. Loved the live music
Such a lovely change of pace. Can't wait to book again!
Loved our dinner here! Food was fresh, drinks were tasty and live music set the ambiance for our galentines dinner. Can’t wait to come back
The seasoning level and execution of the dishes was disappointing. The fried catfish was the most seasoned piece of food I had that evening and that was due to the fish fry mix used. As a black diner, for the drink and menu selections, price, and ambiance I’d recommend Pappadeaux or Pappas Seafood house
First of all, the service was very good. We ordered Hurricanes before our meal, but they were so tart and acidic that they were undrinkable. Anyone who has ever been to New Orleans would tell you that was the worst version of a Hurricane that they ever had. When we complained, our server took them away and graciously took them off our bill. We moved on to the boiled crawfish. There were quite a few small and mushy ones in there. I didn’t mind that much, because it is early in the season, so I didn’t expect them to be huge. Better establishments would have weeded those inedible ones out already, though. Moving on to our main courses, the chefs need to taste their food as it goes out. There was absolutely no flavor to my Shrimp and Grits, outside of the 5 small pieces of bacon put on top for decoration. My wife got the Deaux platter, and again, there was no flavor to it at all. Very disappointed in this place!
Great fresh creole food, fantastic service, live musician was amazing. Highly recommended!
Great food and delicious cocktails, jazz band was awesome!
Loved the food. Loved the blues band playing at the entrance when we came in. Had a great time and everything was very reasonably priced
Went to listen to live jazz, which was excellent! Cold evening, we asked for a couple of glasses of red wine...wine list showed no wines at all by the glass. Asked waitress and she said she thought there may be white wine by the glass, but no red wine. Asked to speak to manager and he said no wines by glass. We inquired about opening a bottle to serves us. He had no clue and got the bar manager to come over. He said they’d open a bottle if we bought two glasses and when we asked about price he paused and said each glass would be 1/4th the bottle price. Can’t remember going to a restaurant which served wine, but had no offerings by the glass. The management was clueless.
Crawfish were cold. They took them back and rewarmed them. Steak was undercooked (didn’t order like that)
Music was very loud.
Service was great. Crawfish was just okay, not spicy enough.
I really enjoy dining at the Acadian. It is always a pleasant dining experience.
Party of 7 Sunday Brunch we had to ask our server if they had a birthday dessert his original answer was no then the sweet manager arranged a birthday dessert. I used to work for EV and Seasons 52 that’s standard. The place was empty inside few tables outside our server was overwhelmed we kept having to wait for everything drinks, food, refill. The brunch menu is really small I felt bad for suggesting that place for a special occasion. Set up of the restaurant was nice, clean, & covid safe. I can see where summer time patio would be cool we thought there would be live music another reason we chose to brunch however it was on patio only. Needless to say will not be back.
The Redfish and dirty rice was great!!! Maybe as good as I ever had.
The shrimp in my gumbo was badly over cooked. Really dense. The Strawberrybread pudding was great!!! Crab cakes are a lot better at Papadeaux. Collard greens ok.
The waitress not so good. Dropped our straws on the floor then picked them up and put them on the table. Did not ask us if we wanted a drink No detail for the check. Said we have to pay before we can see the check.
I will be back if in the neighberhood but I drove from Conroe and will not do that again.
Food was good.
Jazz was nice live music lured us in for 1st visit.
Service wasn't good, they were not busy.
It was 29-30 min and we had to ask for service 1st. (had not been
approached at all.
If service was better this would have been more stars.
Hope they correct this asap
The food was mid. The servers were really good. The food was mid. The ambiance was a little noisy despite the approximately 25% capacity. The food was mid. Steak was not served how I asked, the oysters were subpar, the dessert was phenomenal (Banana Fosters Beignets). I would absolutely go back for dessert and the excellent service. But overall the food was mid.
Went for Happy hour with a friend, had some nice cocktails and oysters. Happy hour menu from 3 to 6 was nice as well.
Love this place. Great patio, brunch and jazz band!
Waiter would disappear for periods of time, no refills on water. Forgot drinks and then overcharged on the bill. The food was inedible - fried soft shell crab. Served over white rice, not dirty and the ‘creole stew/sauce” tasted like canned watery tomatoes. Should have replaced it with another dish but didn’t want to make a scene in front of friends. The strawberry bread pudding was boring and lacked flavor of a bread pudding. The patio and music were the only redeeming features.
Great place and excellent food service was outstanding!! Will return.
We tried Acadian Coast for a dinner on the patio. The ambience was quiet enough that we could still hold a conversation while enjoying the live band nearby. We tried grilled oysters, boudin balls, fried seafood and the beignets. All were delicious. Service was well-paced and the staff was attentive without being overwhelming.
Food was ok, service was slow (for it not being busy) we arrived @3pm when they open. Ambiance was nice with a nice patio area
First time here and unfortunately my experience was not pleasant. I had high hopes for this place! I passed by one morning on a bike ride and thought it was very appealing from the outside so I made sure to save it to stop by in the future! Well today was one of those days where my family and I decided to have a night out. The restaurant itself is nice (looks wise), both outdoor and indoor. Very cute. Food was good, I was expecting to be wowed, but wasn’t. I think they can definitely expand their dinner menu. However, that in itself was limited. When we arrived almost everything on the menu was “out”. Our server informed us that the chef had left on an emergency so they didn’t have really anything left on the menu. Aside from that being a let down, the reason I’m giving such a poor rating was because of the service. Our server WAS NOT attentive at all. She seemed to be extremely busy, I’m assuming because they were possibly understaffed which makes no sense on a Friday night. We waited almost an hour for our food, which we soon learned later by ANOTHER waiter (that we had to flag down) that the kitchen was backed up. OUR waiter didn’t have the courtesy of telling us this issue, instead we were left looking around trying to figure out what was going on because she was hardly around. Food finally came around and as I mentioned it was okay, I think we were just ready to leave after everything. Disappointing visit over all. Not sure I will be back.
Made sure to get the managers name, so Ian, hope you’re reading this...
Amazing place. There was a live jazz band. My man and I went on a Thursday night and there were only a few parties present. It was very romantic. The food was icing on the cake!! He got a steak and I had gumbo and greens. Wow!
Service was great. Food was good. Would love to go back
We went for a Birthday celebration. They were out of a few things but everything we ordered was delicious! It was lively with a band outside. Will go back!
I loved the food. Musicians were setting up as we were leaving. I will be coming back so that I can enjoy the food along with the entertainment.
amazing live music & outstanding food. server seemed new, but the restaurant hasn’t been open long, not too surprising.
This place is incredible. The sweet potatoe pie is what dreams are made of. I've told everyone about it because its great food, great environment and a fabulous price point.
My new spot! I love the live music 🎶.
Glad to see this Gem in the east end of town!
Great experience
Outstanding new restaurant in EaDo east downtown 2nd ward.
So grateful they are here and they are doing it right!
5star service !
The beverage director visited our table checked in w us, and asked about our special occasion and followed that with complimentary champagne!
He was so friendly and generous and said “this is the hospitality industry not service “ and I love that!
Food was amazing! Oysters!!!! Baked omg so yum best I’ve had.
There was even live music!
We were in heaven!
Will be back often!
The music was amazing. The food was delicious. My go too for everyday and anytime.
