We support and partner with a small collection of local farmers and producers who are passionate about their product. The animal proteins we use have always been ethically reared, and we only select in-season Australian fruits and vegetables, and not necessarily the pretty ones.
Ultimately we want to serve you beautiful food that hasn’t traveled far to be on your plate, that tastes as fresh and delicious as it possibly can, because it’s been produced in
the right way.
The setting is gorgeous at night. Service was friendly and attentive. Food amazing. Wine amazing. Save room for the best deserts!
I do love Acre, the atmosphere and food is lovely, great for a special dinner, although I do think the meals are overpriced for what you get, we have to make sure we are not too hungry when we go for dinner!
Absolutely gorgeous setting. Perfect for a birthday lunch with friends and family. The service was great and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend!
Good food and service. A bit noisy with crying baby at nearby table
We had our wedding lunch at Acre last year and couldn't fault the service or food.
We returned for our first anniversary on 2 January. The one thing that surprised us was being asked to use the same knife and fork used for the entre. They were dirty and placed back on the table to be used for our mains.
I realise we could/should have asked for clean cutlery.
The food was very tasty, you won't go starving as the plates are substantial. Value for money. The location is great. The ambience is fantastic being close to natural produce, but the Acre was a little noisy with many people there. It wasn't full, which could add more distraction and raise the volume levels, I wouldn't like to be there when it is at capacity. Service was pretty good. The staff were lovely and reasonably attentive but have room to improve (we ran out of water and it took a while before the water was replaced). The meals took a while to get to us. Other people who arrived after us were served with their meals before us. We had a table of 4 and they were a table of 2 and 3. Again some area for improvement. But otherwise a reasonable service and value for money with respect to food, qty on plate and taste.
We thought it was a strange menu for summer. We thought it was expensive and the service was very disappointing. To asking to order drinks, getting one drink at
A time. No serving cutlery ...
We where disappointed and at over $100- a head for 4 people, 1 bottle of wine, 4 starter drinks. Only 2 courses fir 3 people. 1 person 1 course..
For a local restaurant expensive.
To have dinner with international friends we found it expensive.
Excellent food, excellent location, excellent ambiance!
Extremely overpriced for the quality and amount of the food offered on the set menu. Was also overcharged approx $80 but we only realized after leaving. Lovely ambience though, helpful staff, and would be a good family day out, if you have lots of money to throw away on average quality food.
We were 10 mins early for our reservation but have to wait 25 mins after our booking time. It was third time there. I like the place it is kids friendly but after this experience I am not sure I will go again.
Sit outside if you can. Amazing food while the kids can play. Chicken pot pie = A++
The service at the restaurant was amazing, the waiting staff were so lovely and helpful - thank you! The food was also amazing, we ordered a few dishes to share between us because it all looked so good!
It's a great place to lunch. But the food is not as stand out as I remembered last time.
Great spot for shared dining and casual atmosphere. We had a good size group with two very small children and the team was accomodating and very helpful. We’ll be back again soon, top spot!
Wonderful lunch at acre yesterday. The food is outstanding!! A little noisy inside with all the work Christmas parties but the service was great, great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
Everything is nicely done, especially with the selection of deserts from the trolley.
The only downside is the the Porchetta is rather salty.
Hope this helps
Such a beautiful and surprising venue in camperdown
great venue, highly recommend, will be back, ample space, good atmosphere.
Wonderful friendly service, amazing, delicious food and lovely vibe.
I had previously been there once some time ago and organised the lunch for 5 friends. We have known each other for over 40 years and get together a few times a year to catch up. None of the others had been there before or even heard of the place. They all thoroughly enjoyed everything about the place.
A perfect place for Sunday lunch. Plenty of space for children. Loved the desert cart.
From the moment we arrived they made us feel welcome. We dined in the restaurant. The food is very nice and the service was attentive. Looking forward to returning and would suggest to friends. If you don't want restaurant food then the beer garden is the place to hang out.
As we have been here before our friends wanted to try it out and by the end of the night they fully agreed that ACRE EATERY is awesome.
Everything we had was delicious. Amazing food, fresh ingredients gorgeous venue.
Having eaten here many times it never fails to impress
Acre does get a bit noisy so it is not an easy location to dine for people using a hearing aid. The food was good overall, but the vegetarian option was a bit dry (ie the beans part of the pumpkin dish). Service was friendly and efficient. All in all, one of the nicer places to dine in Sydney.
The food was outstanding. One thing that did let the experience down was the choice of music being played while we were eating. There’s no doubt in my mind that with a little thought this could be remedied quiet easily.
Celebrated my wife's birthday there. Good food, attentive service, even included a special touch of lighting a candle on the dessert for the birthday girl. Very special.
We had a delicious lunch in the always beautiful ambience at Acre. The special for the day was generous, presented beautifully and spot on with its grapefruit glaze! The table service was attentive but relaxed with an excellent suggestion for a wine pairing, making the afternoon a very pleasant one. The only fault was that my husband when ordering asked for his main to be cut in the kitchen into bite sized pieces because his right arm was in a cast and sling. There was a reluctance to meet the request and the dish arrived exactly like mine. No problem for me to cut it up for him I guess, but it made me ask myself what embarrassment or difficulty a person out for lunch with a business colleague or an acquaintance rather than a family member might have experienced in the same situation. The same lovely lunch experience that we had might have looked quite different.
I loved the venue and good service. The places is not too noisy good for conversations.
Poor value for the quality and quantity of the restaurant. The share trout was a serving for one and the parpardelle had 1 strip of zucchini and half an olive. Nice rustic setting.
We had a very polite and friendly server called John. I totally enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was great and it wasn't all that noisy. I have recommended this place to my friends at work, and we wish we were having our work xmas party there now. Overall a great concept with the vegie gardens and a delightful place.
Service was excellent. Parking is the only criticism. Majority of onsite parking is 1 hr. Had to park at parking station a few hundred metres away.
When my food was late they were all so helpful and solution orientated that I felt attended to and not forgotten.
The best way to judge a company is judge them on what happens when things go wrong and they were a shinning example of the best way to handle patrons.
Excellent choice, presentation, quality and price of food.
Very good wine list, presented by a person with excellent knowledge of the contents. This same person provided first-class, friendly and courteous service throughout.
Been here several times before. Will return. Will recommend.
Our fellow guests, experienced diners and wine consumers, were equally impressed.
Our waitress was an absolute gem. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the all the food and beverages.
Staff were attentive with water and drink top ups. It was a wonderful dining experience. Looking forward to coming back.
I think the venue was over whelmed with customers, as there were other diners around us that mentioned the service was very slow as there seem to be only 2 people attending to diners, other than this issue everything else was good and we will definitely go back and also recommend to our family and friends.
I've eaten there before and will undoubtably be eating at the Eatery again.
Cheers! John L.
The venue is fabulous - we really enjoyed the ambience - it really is lovely.
Sadly my "caramellised onion tart" was soggy and hardly what I would call caramellised :(
Others in our group really enjoyed their food so that sort of made up for my very disappointing meal. The chicken pot pie was delicious I was told and the lamb shoulder which was a meal for 2 at $55 was raved about :)
The service was poor - no other word for it - started off well but then just disappeared. I had to ask for salt and pepper twice - I'd basically finished my meal by the time it came. We had to keep trying to the get the attention of the wait staff rather than them looking around to see if their customers needed assistance - really odd in such a venue. Perhaps the management need to take note. They were friendly enough but just not with it!
For the price I would hesitate to go again - but if a friend says yes you should give it another go then I probably will -- that's how I kind of feel about it.
Food and service great, but it was so noisy, that we had to leave. Couldn't hear what the person directly across the table was saying due to the acoustics in the restaurant. Made it unpleasant unfortunately!
