Almresi - something more than a restaurant.
The European rustic mountain cottage offers daily Lunch&Dinner in a cozy exceptional atmosphere.
Be inspired by our welcoming staff and join us for daily Après Ski and Happy hour!
Almresi is also an excellent place for celebrating a great mountain Birthdayparty, Rehearsal Dinner or even a lovely Wedding.
Where the Alps meets the Rockies.
Almresi is hands down my favourite place to eat in Vail. Our server Timon was amazing and so gracious. The beef short rib is delicious.
Food was really good and came out quickly. Service to actually place an order, get seated (we had a reservation), server knowledge of the dishes was low when we had questions. For an overall nice evening out, I would not recommend, however, the food was good but couldn't overcome the other short-comings.
It was a nice Austrian ambience, and the food was good. We may have had a fluke experience, but what happened was close to weird. As we sat and looked at the menu, wine list, etc., we went through our normal decision-making process: 1) decide what we wanted to eat, 2) decided what wine would go best with it, and 3) decide if we want an appetizer, cocktail, etc. During the process, our waitress stopped by several times to ask what we wanted, saw that we were deliberating, left, came back, etc. This was over a total of really just a few minutes. During this process, we told her what we had decided for dinner and then worked our way to the rest of the decisions. My wife decided to simply have a single glass of wine, and I decided to have a cocktail first and then a glass of wine with dinner. The cocktail was delivered pretty quickly, faster than you would normally expect, in fact, yet it arrived after the meal. In the space of about 1 minute, our meals were served, our glasses of wine were being poured, and my cocktail was delivered. This all happened within 10 minutes of our entering the place. Amazingly enough, the couple next to us had a nice, leisurely cocktail time before their meal, and they had the same waitress.
We almost came here 2 nights in a row since it was thaaat good! We had the Mountain salad and the Short rib meal and loved them both.
Food is delicious. Just beware of the servers trying to push drinks and specifically water on you (water at $10 a bottle with no warning, pushed a glass of wine of $20 on my husband without giving a heads up on price either). I guess it's Vail and you could say it comes with the territory but we left feeling a bit taken advantage of. Otherwise, the food is delicious and we liked the atmosphere a lot.
This is our new favorite restaurant in Vail! Food, service and atmosphere is a 10. Looking forward to our next visit!
Authentic Tyrolian decor, menu, and wait staff outfits! Every dish was delicious and service gracious and prompt.
Food was excellent and interesting. Not cheap, but nothing in Vail is. Definitely worth visiting.
Anniversary but was not recognized
The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Food excellent!!! We plan to go back next time we are in Colorado . Wish there could be something like this in Keystone River Run area.
I really enjoy coming here for everything from a snack to a meal. There is a very nice menu with traditional and obviously homemade dishes. Excellent European service sets it apart from most restaurants in the Vail Valley. All the waitpeople are attentive to all the tables and everything one needs appears quietly without asking. Guests are remembered when they return and their preferences are brought almost immediately. Comfortable seating. I wish they had an outside deck with more space for these warm Spring days.
Our second time at Almresi did not disappoint. We tried the recommended meals for the evening and found them delicious. Beautifully designed cozy space.
We took a ski break and had lunch here and it was a wonderful experience. Grandma's cherry cake is outstanding (it is in the display case at the front of the restaurant as you walk in)! Spatzel; potato pancakes with cheese and a horseradish cream and salmon; bratwurst; sauerkraut--couldn't have been better. There are many other menu items we wanted to try and will return for dinner. I seldom give 5 stars so this received 4 but it is one of the best in Vail and is to my taste and experience authentic German/Alsatian food.
Great place. Really good food, all very authentic. The staff are very authentic as well. Would recommend
This restaurant was a very unique experience! Starting from the ambiance and decor all the way to the food.
The atmosphere was culturally exciting, the food was excellent in many ways and the service was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. Great eating experience.
Great place. Terrific service. Excellent food. Something different from the usual American fare. We’ll be back.
The restaurant was amazing. Must get the fondue!!
Es la mejor comida alemana que he comido, así de simple.
Amazingly special place
Great evening. Food was delicious, setting is charming if a little kitschy
Food was delicious!...It took them a while to get our order drink but it is a lovely restaurant and the Gluwhein is tasty.
Celebrated my husbands birthday with our 5 grown children. Wonderful food, great service. We LOVED this place. Really could not have been more enjoyable. We will definitely be back. Our new favorite place in Vail.
This was the best meal of our seven day trip to Vail. Great staff, good and ambience. We will certainly be back next time.
We ate here last year, and it was ok, so we almost cancelled our dinner there this year since it was so uninspiring and we were thinking to try something new. So glad we didn’t! They have amped things up. Everything was exceptionally tasty! It was a highlight and we will be back! My one advise would be the salmon was a little under cooked for our liking. Ask them to cook it a little extra if you like a drier salmon.
Great menu, outstanding food, and friendly service.
Our dining experience was absolutely amazing. Top notch and every detail was provided to make it one of the finest experiences. Nina our server was so exceptional. Perfect balance , fun , charming and very accommodating
A must go back. Regina
Great place for lunch. Super close to Gondola and the lunch was fast and efficient. Much better option than eating on mountain. Had the bratwurst hamburger and was great.
Beat day of skiing at Vail
Incredible pork shank, tasty mini fondues and attentive service.
This is the best restaurant in Vail!
Great all around. It’s always a nice experience.
Great ambiance with a modern twist on traditional Austrian cuisine.
Charming server. Beautiful ambiance. Delicious Austrian style food. The entire family liked it. Also got cute European shoes for my four granddaughters!
This restaurant is like going to Europe! A culinary and visual experience to not miss! All the staff have just the right amount of attentiveness and helpfulness without being overbearing. I will be back soon!
Food was pretty good although if you are going with your kids the children’s menu definitely needs improvement.
Wonderful experience! Three of us enjoyed outstanding food, interesting and unusual drink menu, and our server was outstanding! Is definitely on our list to go back to in Vail!
Great German food and vet unique setting. Have been there three times now and will always go back!
Amazing decor and food. Setting is great. Delicious on all accounts.
