What Insiders Are Saying
Angelini Osteria is one of the great Italian restaurants of Los Angeles.
Scallops were completely overcooked and actually charred. We sent them back with only one eaten and they didn't even offer to remove it from the bill. The chicken skin was amazing but the actual chicken meat was bland. The lemon pasta was definitely not worth the price. There were people in there taking video of the place and everyone eating which I can not stand. It was loud, bright and has lost its elegance. They have become too busy since being seen on food network and open table emailing everyone NPH and his husbands top picks and it seems the quality of the food suffered severely. When you blow something up that big it is a shame. They totally get a fail in my opinion. Why do you at opentable have to medal that way?
Very expensive and not especially good. It is also very crowded.
This is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. As soon as I step through the door, I feel like I have arrived in Italy. A lot of people working there are from Italy, and this is noticeable in the food and service you receive. They really pride themselves on the food they serve, and this reminds me a lot of my holidays in Italy.
This is an impeccable restaurant. I hadn’t been here in a few years and was so happy when a friend invited me to join her. The service and food are as great as I remember. The highlights are the warm ambience, the lack of pretension, and food that I’m going to dream about for days to come.
Always a wonderful meal at Angelini Osteria. Waiters are attentive and polite and Gino is always, always there to make sure his clientele are pleased. Love that you are seated even if your party is not complete but will be there any moment - I really appreciate that! Food is always so delicious and you are never rushed.
All the home-made pasta dishes are consistently delicious and never disappoint. We met a man from New York who never misses a chance to come to Angelinis when he is in town--that says something. My pumpkin ravioli was very fresh tasting and my friend's spaghetti Mancini was mouth watering. Our dessert was an apple tart with raisins, also very good. Can't wait to return.
Always fantastic food and service :) The waiters are friendly, the food is fresh and quality.
Thank you for the amazing service and food ;-)
Loved the neighborhood vibe, the friendly staff and the delicious food
Midollo, chitarra con tartuffo nero (con barolo) e tagliolini al limone e per finire i torta di carrote con il macchiato e passito di pantelleria (Ben rye).. #quebello #tuttoposto
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN LOS ANGELES - EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS AMAZING.
A wonderfully Italian experience in LA. Tables are elbow-to-elbow with an authentic general noise level of your average restaurant in Italy. The food was incredible and our wine suggestion from our waiter was perfect. Highly recommended and can’t wait to come back!
Had heard about this place for so long and were excited to finally go. The food was delicious but we were mostly ignored by our server. We were not greeted by our server for almost 10 minutes after being seated. We had to ask several times for water refills and they never refilled our wine glasses. Kinda put a damper on what should have been a nice evening.
Our waiter misguided us regarding the birthday specials so we ordered another champagne glass that he ended up charging us whereas he told he’d be free... :(
Do not expect an intimate dinner for two. The tables are about 5” from each other and it is crowded and small. Other than the ambiance, the food was amazing and service outstanding.
Experienced a lovely dinner: Service was very attentive and timely. Our meal was excellent: a perfectly dressed salad and a delicious roasted branzino with vegetable and creamy, delicious, mashed potatoes. Profiteroles and tiramisu ..........were wonderful.
Great Lasagna !!
Delicious and fun. Look forward to going back. Tables are a bit close together, but food is very
Best Italian food in this city. Service can not be matched. Just a wonderful experience!!
Superb Italian cuisine, expertly served. Go for this. Maybe not for an important business dinner or a romantic proposal. Meaning this is where to go most of the time when you go out to EAT.
OUTSTANDING, as usual. We were served two amuse bouches and they were so simple but so tasty: salmon and a cous cous with minced green and red peppers. My green lasagna was out of this world: the noodles were soft but not mushy and the layers were extremely with perfectly seasoned meat. My friend had the carbonara and loved it and my other friend had the salmon. The broccoli and asparagus soup was just incredible. We shared the sorbetti and it was a perfect palette cleanser. Can't wait to return.
Our anniversary we had probably the best Italian food we have ever had, including Italy.
This is a true authentic osteria italiana, even the waiters are italian, we had a fantastic dinner, the parmigiana salad spectacular, the branzino simply perfect.
My husband had a pasta alla limone perfectly cooked so it was a great time and the service is super friendly.
Always fabulous food and the entire staff is kind and caring. It’s like visiting a family member that can cook...warm and cozy.
One of my favorite restaurants.
Fantastic as always!!
As always a delicious meal with charming ambiance. Love this place!
The pizza shouldn’t be on the menu, it was awful, what’s the point?!
We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Angelini Osteria. We'd been before, so we tried some different (for us) dishes. The pasta with uni was delicious, as was the Dover sole. The profiteroles are not to be missed. Service was great, as always. It is noisy at peak times, but that's typical for popular restaurants these days. Highly recommended.
GREAT meal. The branzino was fabulous. Can't wait to our next visit.
I was expecting the Chopped Salad to be more traditional like the one at La Scala. I was disappointed. I think there should have been a more specific description.
Perfection! Angelini Osteria is great for a business lunch, celebration, dinner with friends...perfect in every way! So warm and inviting! EXCELLENT!!!!!
Fantastic restaurant. Amazing food and great service !
Small restaurant and have to make a reservation far in advance, it gets popping!!!! But Really great vibes, makes me want to go back to Italy. The food was amazing!!! We started with some salads and everything was fresh and tasty. The pasta is truly the winner. We tried the traditional lemon pasta, seafood risotto, truffle spaghetti and the lasagna. Flavor town!!! All 4 dishes were on point, amazing. Everyone that thought that the lemon parmesan pasta was the winner, very unique and elegant. Never tried anything like that but would come back for it. This restaurant is Everything an old Italian osteria should be.
Great as usual!
There was techno music which didn’t fit
The truffle pizza and chopped salad are amazing and outstanding service!
We went there to celebrate our anniversary. It could not have been nicer. The wood and wine were superb and the service was amazing; attentive without being intrusive
What a lovely restaurant. We have been several times and always had a memorable meal and a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend it
Excellent food. Very fresh. Lots of menu options. Wonderful pasta. Good service.
We had an 8 o’clock reservation but they didn’t seat us until 8:30
Disappointing. High points for initial friendly service, good flatbread and excellent gelato. Room was crowded and somewhat noisy. Asparagus and broccoli soup was too thick - almost gelatinous - and lacked flavor. The Santa Barbara sea urchins and tagliatelli was too heavy and had few bits of sea urchins. Trying to get the server back for another glass of wine was impossible and I resorted to going ordering from the bartender. Too few servers to accommodate a packed room on an early Tuesday evening. The $100+ bill was not worth it.
