The cuisine was new so we did not know‼️ 1 entree was great 1 entree was OK 1 entree no one liked This is no reflection on the restaurant ~ we just did not know‼️ The service was odd; both servers were very sweet but, it appeared they had little or no service experience. Welcoming greeting, food explanation but, 5+ minutes to get water and big lag time before taking our order. Please do not misunderstand me; they were very pleasant! We just got the feeling waitering was not their regular profession‼️ The restaurant was not crowded…

We enjoyed the two unusual dishes that we tried, the lemon grass stir fry with chicken and the Angkor noodles with shrimp. The jalepeno chilis in the lemon grass stir fry were a bit hot for our tastes but easy to pick out. The servers were efficient and friendly and the atmosphere pleasant for getting a meal before the symphony. The owners, who are the Cambodian chef and her husband were very welcoming.

The food was sooooooooo good we kept ordering more and more. We finished every single bite. The folks are delightful, attentive, and super nice. I will be making this a regular stop. LOVED IT. We had the taro bites, spring rolls, fermented mustard greens with tofu, chicken ginger stir fry, and catfish in banana bowl. We kept ordering the mustard greens because it was insanely delicious. We ended with the lotus cookie and ice cream. This restaurant should be on your list!!

Had a delightful dinner there for Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious as always. The place was full, but it wasn’t noisy. Such a pleasure to eat good food in a comfortable environment where you can actually converse.

We had a fantastic meal here yesterday. We'd ordered take out from their previous location but this was our first chance to try their downtown SJ location. The space was beautiful, service was great and food was outstanding. It was hard to choose as I wanted to eat all of the things. We had the sausage appetizer which was fantastic. I particularly loved the one with such strong lemongrass flavor. The green papaya salad was awesome, as was the catfish amok. It's a steamed fish curry, almost like a custard, that comes in a banana leaf basket and is topped with coconut cream. So delicious. We'll be back and highly recommend Angkor Chef!

We loved the restaurant. Food was fresh and came out quickly. We ordered the rice crispies appetizer, vegan and shrimp spring rolls, green mango salad, Angkor Noodles with tofu, lemon grass stir fry with tofu, and Amok. My favorite were the noodles and the lemon grass stirfry. We were celebrating a birthday and got a complimentary dessert-we chose the jackfruit rice dessert (with coconut milk) and it was very tasty. The prices have gone up in the last year but that's not uncommon. I would highly recommend this place.
