Armes is a French and American fusion restaurant that offers gourmet farm-to-table cuisine. The chef was born and raised in France and brings traditional French tastes and techniques to the ingredients of local produce and meats in Baltimore. The menu at Armes changes weekly to accommodate for available ingredients. Guests of Armes can often enjoy white truffle churros, rock fish and mussels in fish broth with broccoli greens, slow-cooked pork shank with apple butter and chocolate mousse with almond macaron and amakaze sorbet. The menu at Armes is always a prix fixe affair that allows guests to simply relax and enjoy their meal without the need to ponder an extensive menu.

Aromes was my favorite restaurant in Baltimore, it pushed boundaries and offered a new dining experience to the city. It will be missed.

I went for a special anniversary. They printed a special menu for us. It's a very small restaurant. The food was delightful and what I consider a perfect meal -filling but not gluttonous, flavorful -but balanced and not all over the place, and attention to detail

Aromes was a wonderful dining experience. The multi-course dinner menu was exceptionally fine food, sourced locally and presented in a unpretentious manner. The combination of flavors was original and very creative. And at $65 a person, it was realistically priced. It was really refreshing to eat such a good meal from a kitchen that obviously has a passion for food. We will definitely be back!

We've dined at Aromes several times and I'm constantly impressed for the creativity and quality of the food. We had a six course meal for $65.00 per person which is a steal! Each course was simple yet phenomenal and interesting. One of our favorites was a hay smoked new potatoes in a parsley broth. We had a restrain ourselves from licking our bowls clean!

Aromes offers extraordinarily well prepared dishes in a tasting menu. The smoked salmon (not lox!) and duck breast are both outstanding, and the combinations of seasonal fruits and vegetables are not to be missed.

A 2-hour meal is too long when most of the time consists of waiting between dishes however delicious and when the noice level prevents conversation.

This was our second meal at Aromes, our first since the switch from the previous tasting menu. While the offerings now follow a somewhat more traditional French menu than the original Aromes concept, each dish was still prepared with a twist that made it fresh and novel, and everything tasted wonderful. An example: a dark chocolate mousse cake with homemade wasabi ice cream on the side--a novel combination of sweet and spicy that worked really well. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about how each dish was prepared. If you are looking for a large variety of selections and portions big enough for leftovers, Aromes is not that kind of a restaurant. But if you want a delicious meal that takes traditional dishes to a new level with unique and sometimes exotic ingredients, flavors, combinations and preparations, Aromes is one of the best places in Baltimore to get that experience.
