Pub
The Australian Hotel has been a stalwart of the Yass Hotel scene since 1881, with a large renovation set to be completed towards the end of 2018; this Heritage Pub boasts a family friendly environment with locally sourced menu created by Head Chef Shaun Bradley. The Hotel serves both Yass locals and travelers in our own warm and welcoming style, we aim to be the best Hotel in town and we think you’ll agree.

We booked for 630pm. It was nearly 830 by the time we received our food... which was average. Second time this has happened there. Never going again!

Waited 10 minutes at the bar for service in which the bartender started serving then walked off after answering the phone. For a table of four two member received their entrees and mains before other two received entrees. Entrees and mains were delivered to the table less than five minutes apart. One member got their entree and main in the same armful of food! Atrocious customer service and food service. Meal sizes were good, big portions but the quality needs improving.

Fantastic food and really made the mothers feel special for mothers day. Will attend again for the next special occasion.

Lovely, renovated exterior, then you walk in to a very dated bar area & bare lounge area. No signage directing customers to the bistro, so wandered through looking for it. Bistro was small, looked to be newly renovated, friendly staff & fantastic food! Shame we could see straight out glass door to the filthy alley outside. Seems the hotel is in the process of getting scrubbed up which is awesome, but as an out of town female guest who is quite happy in a pub, the cramped, very male oriented local bar was not a comfortable experience.
