Was hoping this would have been a good neighborhood find but we were disappointed. The restaurant sign references fine dining but this was not what we consider fine dining. May appeal to people who are looking for large portions but food was just average. Red sauce was not cooked long enough and the “ homemade pasta” did not appear to be homemade.
It was our first time at your restaurant! The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the ambiance. Portions were really great and we will be back. We only wish we got to taste the steak we heard about. It was no longer on menue
Slow going with the understaffed servers, patients is absolutely required. If that is OK, then you might find the wait is rewarded. The fish special and pasta bolognaise were both outstanding.
Food very good. Wine and beer selection should be expanded.
We had a delicious meal. Great service in pleasant surroundings.
Love this place!! Fabulous food! Tim is a greAt server!! Jay, the owner is the best!!
You could tell that the food was made on site. The sweet potato gnocchi was amazing, the egg plant was amazing, and the quaint feeling of the space was awesome.
We were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess, who checked our reservations and seated us immediately. Bacio was pretty full, but we were never hurried. We shared a clam, muscles and sausage appetizer that was very tasty. I had the veal chop (special of the night) which was cooked to my specification. My friend had a veal dish that she raved about. Both dishes came with home made pasta and sauce and roasted green beans, family style. We shared Mama’s ricotta pie that was delightful.
Would highly recommend.
Seemed a little off due to being very busy and having a shortage of wait staff. My eggplant parmigiana was amazing as always but my husband’s appetizer was cold and his entree, luke warm. Didn’t get knives until our entrees arrived. Will continue to go back. Just hope they get more wait staff help.
WAY TO LONG OF A WAIT!!! We waited over an hour for our meal!
We came back for a 2nd time for a do over. It was a Thursday night and found there to be a pretty decent crowd. There was only 1 waiter (Tim) working all the tables. There were about 5-6 tables with around 20 people among them including ourselves. I had some concerns as my previous review was about the lack of service. However, Tim was not our waiter our 1st time around, and he seemed to have a good grasp on his rotation and timing for taking orders and checking in on the tables. There was also a gentleman crooning to Sinatra songs which was very enjoyable. We never got to speak to Jay the owner to thank him for inviting us back and addressing our concerns, but I'm sure it's not easy to prepare the meals and socialize at the same time. We will return as we try to support family run businesses and hope they are able to maintain this level of service, not the previous.
We've enjoyed all of our meals at Bacio. The food is very good and always delivered piping hot from the kitchen. My wife loves the eggplant parmesean and beet salad. I look forward to any of the fish dishes. The wait staff is friendly and attentive (especially Tim) with a friendly and unhurried vibe. When we have guests visiting from out-of-state Bacio is our go to restaurant.
Food was excellent, service was amazing! Highly recommend.
Delicious. Will def go back!
Our first time to the new location.
We had a great experience at Bacio - we had quite a variety of food - Mussels, Calamari, Veal Chop and Crab Fra Diavolo - everything was excellent. Our server was Tim, who was friendly and quick.
We will return to Bacio - a real Italian Food Gem!!!!
My first time at the relocated Bacio was wonderful!
We were cordially welcomed, seated comfortably, and served by a knowledgeable waiter who provided immediate service. My stuffed flounder was delicious, beet salad generous and fresh, and -- having planned to take half home -- I splurged on coffee and chocolate mousse cake. My friend was equally pleased with her choices.
Hurrah Bacio! I will be back and soon. Until then, I am recommending you to friends.

I was disappointed in the new site and the service for a Sunday night. The casual nature of things worked well in Mt Airy, but the customer experience felt sloppy, and poorly designed at this location. I used to rave about this place, but I'm having second thoughts.
Excellent food, including dinner specials. Friendly and willing staff but short handed. Charming overall.
Everyone was pleasant and made us feel very comfortable.
The food at Bacioi's is good. It's the real thing. The trout was excellent, and my partner enjoyed the classic spaghetti and meatballs, gluten free. We also gave a thumbs up to the charred romaine salad, the beet salad, and the mussels fra diavolo. As was mentioned in other reviews, the weak link in this good restaurant is the service and the timing of food coming out of the kitchen on a Saturday night. Our waiter was friendly and knew the menu, and his assistant was earnestly hardworking. But - my partner's appetizer and salad were served to him at the same time, while I had to wait for the appearance of my salad. We were halfway through that when our entrees appeared, and were waived off for a 10-minute stint under the heat lamps (amazing that the entrees still tasted good after that!) The restaurant got full and we had to wait a while before being asked about coffee or dessert. Still, I recommend it. Just don't go when you're in a rush!
Found the service to be really slow. Waitress wasn't very familiar with the dishes as she couldn't answer a few of our questions about them which caused us to change our order. Pretty average for a BYOB when compared to others. The one favorable difference is that the pasta is made in house.
Liked everything about dinner at Bacio! The food was delicious, and served very graciously. Ambience is very intimate and cozy. Pricing is most reasonable. Location is very convenient, with off street parking too. Will definitely return for dinner another time.
The food very good but did not have angle hair 😐 hope next time u get angle hair and the soup was very good .
Calamari appetizer, and eggplant parmesan and linguine with clams dinners were outstanding! The food is delicious.
Food was good, but it took 30 minutes to be greeted by a server after we had been seated. It felt like we were ignored until we had to ask a waiter to take our order.
Food as always was delicious and although a minor delay in service, not surprising since it was Valentines Day
Love the new location.
Bacio is a little gem! I just LOVE this place. The people are friendly, the good is delicious, the waiters are exceptionally personable and the price is right.
A fine addition to the neighborhood. A very traditional Italian restaurant at very reasonable prices. They could have used one more wait person. They do have wine and spirits but BYO was no trouble. We will be back
Very affordable with great food. And attentive service. I had heard that it was BYO and so was surprised to see a bar when we walked in. However, they gladly opened our 2 wine bottles.l (and those at neighboring tables). Sound dampening panels in the ceiling do a great job reducing the noise level, making it easy to have a conversation.
Visited often at the Mt. airy location. This new space is great and spacious. Food is just as delicious.
We arrived at 630pm and had to ask someone at 705pm if were getting a waiter. We saw one waiter serving the tables the house was full. Tim did all he could to keep up But it was bad. Our food was great however we were supposed to get pasta and veggies with our order they never came out. We asked Tim and he told one of the kids to get the sides, NEVER CAME BACK, BUT WE PAID FOR IT. We decided not to raise hell as Tim was doing the best he could and by 900pm we had enough. The place has great food but we were warned about poor service on the main dining nights, the warning was accurate. If it keeps up you will lose your customers for sure. We will never come back on a weekend IT WAS BAD. The way we saw it you filled every room INCLUDING the upstairs but did not have the proper staff to make it an enjoyable time. We also heard other upset people and heard the party upstairs were very unhappy.
The food was good and the location for me is good, so I’ll go back and try it again. The service was slow and oddly paced. There are a lot of young kids working there who are nice enough, but not well trained. For the pricing I feel like the service should be a bit better. The trout was good, as was the broccoli rabe, and the mussels. The entrees came with a veggie and a pasta so it was a lot of food. The owner comes out often and checks in, which is nice. FYI- it’s BYOB or you can buy from the Cardinal Winery Bar that’s right as you walk in. If you choose to by there, you have to get up from your table and go order at the bar. It’s an odd set up, but actually nice if you want some drinks that wouldn’t be what you’d bring on your own.
Found this gem from our Springfield Township FB page and I must say.... I loved it. Evwryone was friendly and welcoming. The food waa amazing and it's a BYOB for now.
The food wasn't great. I ordered the pasta e fagioli and it was white, which I found strange. The chicken piccata had too strong of a wine taste. The meatballs were full of bread; hardly any meat.
Delicious food, great service from. Tim. Just a neighborhood gem!!
The real problem seems to be the homemade pasta. It was too thick, gooey, mushy.....really odd.....
Great food! Busy dining room but fun atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
All was great when they become more established please make the ambiance more cozy -no black walls -
