Service left a lot to be desired. They were clearly understaffed on the floor. Food came out at weird times. Brought our antipasto platter out with my friends lasagne? When clearly we meant to do courses. Didn’t give us share plates. Allegedly 100% gluten free but my friend who is coeliac was ill a few hours later. Just a total lack of care from start to finish and the food wasn’t much to write home about even before finding out my friend was sick.

The food was mostly delicious - the highlights were the pizza's, the lasagne and the proscuittio entree. We were seated on bar stools and asked if we could move tables to a regular table and were denied even though there were multiple tables free. There are three bar tables out the front so close together that two of us were touching backs with the people behind us. It feels very crowded, even inside navigating past tables to the bathroom was challenging as a thin person. The toilet seat is broken and needs fixing, the top banged down on my back as I sat down, and then I almost slid off! To dry your hands you have to pull off some paper towel from one big roll. It was hard to get staff attention, at least there are qr codes on the tables otherwise I wondered how long we would have had to wait. When the wine glasses arrived, one of them was so dirty that you could barely see through it. There seemed to be language barriers between customers and the staff, often having to gesture at what we mean. I think it's great that Positano are providing opportunities for international residents but perhaps there should be some training regarding how to provide positive and attentive service. Someone I was dining with remarked that it was a true italian experience like in Italy where waitstaff completely ignore you, which at least got a laugh out of us. We ordered the pear salad without dressing (due to an intolerance) and had to send it back as this was not followed. It arrived from the kitchen the second time without the walnuts and parmesan also. $19 for leaves and half a pear is disappointing. There are just many small details that make the experience overall unpleasant. We still had an good time but I think that was moreso about the company rather than the dining experience itself. I'm not sure I would go back - perhaps to get takeaway pizza because this was the strong suit, it really was delicious - but the service and overall experience was really average.

A great 100% gluten-free Italian spot! I was pleasantly surprised by how good gluten-free focaccia can taste. We tried the Pollo and Crudo focaccia. The Crudo was excellent and highly recommended. The Pollo was also tasty, although I would have loved a little more seasoning or spread on both sides of the bread. Service was fast and super friendly and the atmosphere made for a very pleasant experience!
