Beatrix - Fulton Market
Beatrix is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
The beverage program features fresh-squeezed juice cocktails, local craft beers, and all-American wines. The coffee bar showcases iconic Chicago roasters, Intelligentsia and Metric Coffee, and offers daily pour-over specials, Bulletproof coffee, and Nitro coffee, and an array of cookies and pastries from the in-house bakery
Noise level was fine but we were sitting outside. Inside it is loud. Food, service, ambience wonderful. The server was particularly
Helpful. The hostess was very accommodating.
Great vibe! We were seated a few minutes after our reservation time but the wonderful service made up for it. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable on menu items. The local burrata and enlightened caesar were delicious. Highly recommend!
Not the same as the location on grand. The food at the grand location has/is consistently better not to mention that I had a piece of wire in my food
Beatrix is always a good choice - if it’s just a quick lunch from their beautiful salad bar at the Market or a sit down dinner the food is always outstanding. Love the glutenfree offerings and how educated the staff is. I had the Cauliflower “Steak” and my friend enjoyed the Seabass. Both of us truly enjoyed our meals. Prices are on the higher end so I save Beatrix for special occasions.
Birthday lunch on a Wednesday - really great food, friendly service and cool ambience. Perfect lunch spot for a bit a classier, elevated feel. Understandably very busy with work lunches.
Beatrix Fulton Market is another West Loop gem! I dined here for my birthday and loved every bit of the experience. From crave-worthy Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts to healthful Hummus to a tangy Thai Chopped Salad, my Vegan self was in foodie heaven.
With fabulous food, quality service, a trendy atmosphere, and a prime location right on the corner of West Loop's Fulton Market, Beatrix is a must-visit.
A beautiful space, with great ambiance, friendly staff and great food. Awesome for brunch and group settings. I cannot forget their awesome baked goods and coffee bar, not to mention a full bar to keep the party going if you please. Enjoy 😊
Our vegetarian granddaughter from Michigan was with us. We wanted a meal that would appeal to her. She had a hard time narrowing her choices. My husband was happy as well with his maple bacon. Sent our daughter a picture of all our licked clean plates.
Good food and service. First time at this location and it did not disappoint.
Great place to meet friends for brunch!
The food was fresh and wonderful. Service was informative, friendly and not rushed. A great place to catch up with a friend over lunch.
Great food and even better drinks! Food came out hot and drinks were creative and refreshing.
Was a great experience and our server was wonderful. We chose to sit outside - it was the surface of the sun. But lodged every bite:)
Solid place. Kinda like the Applebee’s of brunch places, but I like Applebee’s so take that as you will
I've been to Beatrix before for lunch and decided to come back for breakfast. I was surprised by how expensive basic breakfast food was and it was completely underwhelming. The pancakes were bland, eggs were overdone, turkey bacon came out cold, and coffee kind of tasted like Folgers. I'd maybe return for lunch but would recommend finding somewhere else for brunch.
Our second time there. The small plates, which were what we mostly ordered, were great. The only complaint is that there were not more of them. Two main dishes we ordered, cauliflower steak, and the ravioli were excellent. We liked the juices from the juice bar. Limited dessert selection. Even the pastry selection at the "market" seemed limited.
The service is very friendly.
Food was decent. Service was okay (nice waitress but they were apparently understaffed). The music was way too loud for brunch as it made the conversation almost unenjoyable - yelling across the table is not a great way to start off the day. Parking in this area is impossible - definitely valet. Am a loyal customer of Lettuce, but won’t come back to this location for a little while.
Love Beatrix, and especially this location. Absolute gem for West Loop, and loved eating here numerous times since it opened. Ate here as my last meal in the city before moving away from Chicago
Fabulous experience! We ate every bite of every dish. Ruby was excellent - phenomenal service and recommendations!
Not for me. Service was poor. $32 Sea Bass flavorless. Do your staff a favor and schedule more bartenders on a Saturday night. That way they aren’t annoyed and customers don’t have to wait wait 10 min for a glass of pre-chilled white wine.
Overall good. Had the special and it came out warm.. not hot. Seems like it had been sitting for a while... we like this place and will come back again. Super cool scene and great location in Fulton market district.
Great atmosphere and food, but our server was inexperienced and not attentive.
Good solid food, not super fancy, but good varied menu. Open for breakfast lunch, brunch and dinner. Reliably good .
My wife’s birthday brunch. Only little issue was another customer’s dog at the next table. Not well trained and took away from a beautiful day and delicious meal. I have two dogs so my issue was this dog wasn’t ready to be at an outdoor restaurant.
Per usual, the food and drinks were delicious! Our server was very nice, but the service was so painfully slow our dinner was 3 hours and not because we wanted to have a very spaced out experience. It wasn’t just our table either... other tables near us had the same experience and even said something to our table. Bummer. But the food and drinks were on point!
We loved our experience at Beatrix. The menu has such an interesting variety. We tried the pork shank, Brussels sprouts and salmon dishes, and all were excellent. Highly recommend! Get the caramel pie for dessert.
Terrible service until the end. Food was mediocre.
We were out with friends and had a wonderful time. We ordered a number of apps: the buratta, fries, brussel sprouts, and the Ahi tuna crudo. The buratta was real nice and the kale pesto was a nice flavor combo with the cheese and toast. The brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and the ahi tuna was light and fresh.
With so many apps, dinner was lighter: we had the pea soup, straight A salad, the ravioli and chicken meatballs. We split the ravioli and meatballs and it was a perfect way to end the meal. The pasta was bigger than we expected but delicious. The chicken meatballs had a nice sauce on it.
Ordering drinks took a while (they were a little busy) and instead of the dessert menu, we got the bill when we asked for the menu, we didn’t see anything that thrilled us and the waiter told us (probably to cover not giving us the menus in the first place) that he usually gets dessert at nearby restaurants instead of Beatrix. Those were the only negative points of the night but it won’t affect us returning there in the future. Just hoping to get better attention at the beginning and end of our meal next time.
Bartender was fabulous while I waited for friends. Waiter ironically was training a new server, yet service was acceptable at best. Never once did either server take a dirty dish or glass off the table (even though we had occasionally stacked them). Three times the wrong flavor of cocktail was delivered, as if we were not being listened to at all. Had to ask for check twice. Check backs to table after food arrived were very slow. As I said, service was acceptable, but not more — other than the awesome female bartender. She was perfect and then some! Food was excellent.
Server was awesome!!! Very helpful with gluten free options
Having been to Beatrix-Fulton Market only weeks ago for an excellent brunch,Ireturned with friends looking forward to an equally excellent lunch. I was disappointed. Though our Server was personable, he was obviously unable to get the kitchen to deliver our entrees within any reasonable timeframe. It was as if the restaurant was unprepared for the capacity lunchtime crowd. The menu, though creative, offered a minimal set of lunch main course options. If I return, it will be at a quieter time.
We had a great experience. Service was spot on as was the food and drinks.
Felt that the menu was very trendy, not necessarily in a good way, and the food was tasty but didn't blow me away. Overpriced for what was served. The cookies were good at the bakery!
Lively restaurant with exceptional food. All the food was great, but highly recommend the kung pao brussel sprouts, short rib and salmon. Great place to go with friends.
Love the food. First time at this location and the service was awful. They did reimburse for the appetizers which was nice.
This was my second time coming here for dinner and it was AMAZING. The first time I ordered the skirt steak and it was so good I almost ordered it again this second time around, but decided to be different. I chose the chicken bebe and it was unreal. No shame, I ate every bite.
Beatrix - Fulton Market has excellent vegetarian selections for appetizers and main dishes. Appetizers are sized for sharing, and a meal can be constructed for individuals or groups using appetizers. The non-alcohol and alcohol cocktails pair well with the entire menu. Dessert options are plentiful, and desserts can be selected from the bakery counter. Outdoor seating is not scenic, but the street is active without being noisy. Reservations are recommended
