Food and service was great, just too loud and hipster crowd not to my liking, it was very loud. Customers standing everywhere, right over our table, not intimate at all.
Awesome food and experience
Great place for family memories. Always enjoy getting together with family and friends. Food selection is excellent.
Great food and service!!And they are always very accommodating to us!
A server and not the hostess was at the counter upon my entrance to the restaurant and her attitude was HORRIBLE!
Service very good. Nice menu. Oysters very good. One entree came out a bit cold , otherwise nice experience
Yummy! We had a great time and the food was delicious!
Enjoyed Becks for an early New Year's Eve supper. The atmosphere was great and its very attractive inside. (Loved the exposed brick). My husband thought the raw oysters and tuna were very good and I especially enjoyed the pimento cheese balls and beet salad. The fried lobster was a little greasy for me but still enjoyed it. My sister had fried oysters which she said were delicious. The waitress had a cute personality and the service from the entire staff was great (remember we were early)We will definitely be back!
Specifically picked this restaurant so my friends & I could enjoy each other’s company and carry on a conversation. Tried a bite of several plates & all the meats were SO tender/juicy. Cocktails were delicious. Love the atmosphere! Hubby/friends & I will be back!
excellent food and atmosphere enjoyed the evening, friendly people
Delicious food, friendly and energetic servers, and convenient location.
Celebrating Christmas with friends!
We order the Cowgirl Ribeye approx $40 entree and it had no flavor, we did contact the restaurant
Excellent find in a quaint area of Augusta; although a bit difficult to find at night due to lack of a visible outdoor sign. Great oyster selection and tremendously friendly and helpful wait staff.
Service was excellent. Cheese on the baked oysters was too heavy overpowering any flavor and the brussel spouts were a bit oily. The flounder dish was enjoyable but again the sauce dominated the flavor. A lighter touch would really make the meal shine.
Awesome food and great service. Our table had oysters, grouper, tuna and stuffed flounder. They were all fantastic!
Our server Natalie was fantastic! She perfectly paced out our orders, ensuring there was plenty of time between courses while not leaving us wondering when food was coming. Oysters were delicious! Drinks from the bar outstanding. Will definitively be back!
Consistently good food and excellent service. Friendly, neighborhood ambience.
All aspects of our visit were consistent with our previous visits. My concern is that although we had a reservation, we had to wait until our table in the back was ready. Meanwhile, there was a table available in the front dining room. We are consistently seated in the back instead of the next available table.
This was our first experience at Beck's, and there were some highs and lows. Their computer system didn't seem to be working so when I called to change my reservation, they couldn't even find it. Hostess was accommodating and made one for us at the requested time, though. We arrived to find no hostess and had to wait several minutes to be greeted. We were seated promptly when her phone call was completed. However, we were seated in a hallway. The alcohol and oyster bars seemed to be lively and fun, but that hallway cuts you off from all that, unfortunately. They're very small booths, so it was a little romantic, but don't order too much at one time or you'll run out of room on the table.
Our server didn't provide her name when we made our drink and appetizer orders. I had the champagne cobbler drink and it was in desperate need of some simple syrup or a sweeter champagne. Disappointing. The IPA beer selection was slim. Server put our appetizer plates and utensils on top of our menus before we even ordered an entree. Appetizer, baked oysters, was fantastic! Lots of flavor! I had the tuna steak as an entree, which was absolutely fantastic! Everything on the plate had a purpose and it all went together lovely. Very impressed. Husband ordered catfish, which was also fantastic. He was impressed with the collard greens. He also had the tartar and said it was fantastic. We did wait over 20 minutes for our entrees, but the restaurant was very busy on a Friday night, so the wait wasn't too bad considering.
We didn't have time for dessert as we had to go pick up a kid from a thing, and we had to flag down our waitress for the check. Our plates were cleared by a dude who did a timely job consistently. We didn't see our waitress all that much. Overall, we will definitely be going here again though may bring an extra person just to get a better table (or sit at the oyster bar when it's not so busy).
The food and service is always perfect at Becks! Wonderful evening.
Loved Becks as usual!
Excellent food and service , staff was friendly, loved the decor
The past few times I’ve been to this restaurant and it has been an amazing experience. Tonight my table was not sat until 20 minutes after the reservation. Even though I had called up 30 minutes before to guarantee a space. The waitress seemed fairly new and as much as we tried to be understanding we were left with out drinks a couple times.
They had run out of a few items on the menu and the burgers that we ordered were completely coated in blue cheese. All I could taste was the blue cheese and no other flavors on the burger.
The one redeeming factor was there female bartender who was amazing and really quick on getting the drinks at the bar. She was our saving grace all evening.
I’m hoping this was a one off bad experience.
Had another great meal at Beck's! The food and atmosphere were great, but it did take longer than we preferred for our server to take our order. We had to flag her down after about 15 minutes. Other than that (and the place was packed!), it was a great experience!
Great night as always. Loved the shrimp bisque on the cold night!
The service was wonderful and the food was amazing!!! Can't wait to go back. My husband and I went here for our Anniversary. The pork chop was outstanding as were the baked oysters!
We brought a couple who had never been
They loved it!!! Oysters perfecto!
Our favorite place to go on our date nights!!! My husband loves the oysters!!
Our waitress was excellent. Took really great care of us and made excellent suggestions.
Really enjoyed my meal...the grouper special and the fish and fries were awesome!
First time there. Seating was very uncomfortable - hard bench with a straight back. Tables for 2 are in a hallway with constant flow of people walking to the restroom. Food was very good and our waitress was friendly and attentive.
Becks has become a staple when it comes to fine dining in Augusta for our family. The atmosphere is wonderful and the booths are very comfortable and private. Our server was extremely personable and had a great sense of humor. She also was very knowledgeable on the menu and specials, helping us with decisions and choices. I had the flounder dinner which came mixed with shrimp, scallops and and rich cream sauce. My wife had the fish and chips. Both did not disappoint. I would highly recommend Becks to those looking for a wonderful atmosphere, great service and delicious menu choices.
Nicole was very nice and did a fantastic job for us!
Food is always delicious & beautifully prepared. Service was outstanding.
Girls night out
I was at Beck's about an hour ago and it was less than a stellar experience. The online menu is NOT up-to-date. The tables they seated my party of two in were tiny. I do have a 36" waist and am 6'1" tall, but my elbow could not leave my side closest to the wall. We ordered half a dozen Hunt's Style oysters (they were the highlight of the evening, Frog Hollow Tavern's are better), shrimp bisque, and andouille oyster soup (Venison Chili not on the menu). They were okay to good (the oyster soup could have benefited from some seasoning). We ordered the Salmon and Fried Lobster Tail (Cowgirl Ribeye not on the menu). After having our dinner order in for about 20 minutes we overhear the waitress telling the table next to us about the "specials". I chose the Salmon because the ribeye wasn't on the menu. There was also a redfish and/or grouper that I could hear. I sure wish I had asked for the specials but, do I really want to dine somewhere I need to ask?
Great place for the Augusta area. Excellent drink menu that includes an extensive wine and beer list along with creative craft cocktails.
