   This was a great place for a special dinner with my wife - right on the River Walk. It was somewhat expensive, but the food was extremely good, and it was worth the splurge. They do half orders and prix fixe menus, too, for reasonable prices based on the quality of the food.

   We come infrequently to San Antonio, but when we do, we always plan a meal at Biga! Again, we were well satisfied by our experience. The menu is always interesting, and the service professional and friendly…this time with Tucker. Thanks once again for a great meal!

    Best food experience that I have had in a while. My compliments to the chef for the amazing food that served to us. We also did the wine pairing with our meal and every course was perfectly matched. Great service from friendly and helpful staff. Great evening at Biga!

    This was our first visit to Biga on the Banks, and although going through some renovations around the building, and a bit hard to access, it was worth the inconvenience. Very friendly staff, both Anna & the other female bartender (can't remember her name, unfortunately) were very friendly & knowledgeable about the menus, great with suggestions on what to try. We did not have an entree, but instead chose 3 appetizer plates to share for 2 people. Cheese board, Escargot & Fried Oysters were all very good. Nice wine selection & signature cocktails including something for the country of the month, Brazil. We will plan to go back again soon!

    I ordered the antelope and quail. Both the presentation and quality were excellent! Nicholas, our waiter, provided excellent service ,answered all our questions and made excellent recommendations concerning the menu.

    Another outstanding dining experience at Biga! We alway do dinner at Biga when visiting The San Antonio Riverwalk and this one did not disappoint. Food was incredible and the service was perfect. Thank you Biga!!

    I believe as soon as you sit in a restaurant chair you know what you’re in for. Uncomfortable chairs mean eat and get out. Comfy chairs mean you’re going to dine. Biga is a true dining experience. Chris was our outstanding server, A long time employee, exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly. I was a little hesitant when I read the menu having a picky eater in our group. Everything was absolutely delicious from apps to entrées to dessert. The wine list is nice although pricey. I spent more than I normally would, but when everything is delicious it’s worth it to me. If I’m ever back in San Antonio this will be my first stop. Thank you!

    Our waiter Chris was absolutely amazing. His service was impeccable and knowledge of the menu and wine selection was top notch. The food was on point. Basically from when we walked in to when we left everything was top shelf. We will put this on the rotation list for sure

    Dissapointing. Small portions. Not innovative... and not necessarily prepared well at this level of fine dinning. The foie gras had not been cleaned properly a was full of veins. The antelope, medium rare, was very tuff, and some of it we could not chew through. Please understand, we have enjoyed all manner of game and bird, and know that very lean game meats cook and eat differenlty than corn-feed tenderloins. But it was suprising how very difficult to chew. And the server was unable to confirm if we were eating antelope or venison (antelope on the menu, refered to both at different times by the server, and quoted as venesin by the runner). Very confusing for a $60 plate. The server did a good job, but it was obvious that the Chef had trained the staff to talk about how great the Chef is, how famous the restaurant is, and how the Chef is known for blending Tex-Mex with asian cuisines. The foie gras was classic new american - grilled foie gras, fruit compote and brioche. The antelope... or venison... had sliced chestnuts in with the brussel sprouts. I guess they were the asian twist??? The food was good, but it appears the Chef has traded past fame and recognition for innovation. Nothing we ate was "awesome" or "wow" or even surprising. It was good, but for the price, we will not be back.

    Outstanding in every way and in every course from chicken fried oysters and foie gras to beet salad, beef tenderloin and mustard crusted lamb to dessert. Good selection of wine. Excellent service. Highly recommended!

    A San Antonio classic at this point where you can reliably find a high quality meal that does not break the bank. We had great appetizers, entrees, and dessert. The only think that we did not enjoy were the cocktails. They seemed to lack the same attention to detail that the food received. I would still highly recommend, maybe get a wine instead.

    Absolutely below par .. the food was barely above Cheesecake Factory in value. The location was in a weird office building and the decor was an 80s Tex mex. I have no idea how this place has gotten the reputation it has but it is AWFUL. Off the beaten path and do not out your credit card down ! Stay away …

    Hard to get to so it’s really not accessible from the Riverwalk. Was told how awesome the chef is but we ordered for a family of six & one meal didn’t show up so my whole family finished before we ever got the last entree. I was told the salmon was over cooked & they had to prepare again. Seems to me they had to go down to the river & catch another…some great chef?

    Birthday celebration for our dear friend was very special at Biga! Everything is excellent starting with the three breads. Lamb brochette and shellfish appetizer similar to a ceviche were both very good. They offer 1/2 entree options which is nice and allows for trying multi courses. The pastry chef is excellent and her sticky toffee dessert and sorbet assortment were a wonderful way to end our experience. Arianna is an excellent server: knowledgeable, friendly, and professional!
