Undiscovered gem! Food well presented and very good. Good use of flavours and good sized portions. Service prompt and friendly. Decor bistro style with contemporary twist. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and would highly recommend.

Excellent pizzas: light crust plenty of good toppings. Sadly enough we were the only customers but it was a rainy Monday evening ….

Food was lovely but ordered gin and tonics to go with meal - drinks arrived pre mixed and contained gin tonic and soda - we were told this was how they made them but they were awful we had to ask for more tonic which arrived in shot glasses - when it came to payment gif drinks they were charged at 10,40 plus vat -each - was told they were on the cocktail menu and that was it - spoilt what was a lovely pre theatre meal

Lovely server and v nice food. Music too loud. We were very upset and embarrassed when a loveky young mother dashed in with young child is very urgent need of finding a toilet. She was refused, it was entirely heartless.. because of this we would be very reluctant to visit again sadly. I know you can’t let everyone in to use facility. This was a young child.!I’m sure the very lovejy young mother will give you bad press too.

Not great. Me and my friend ordered the house pizza (ham, chorizo, bacon, mushrooms) and both of us got a vegetarian pizza with onions and peppers. The waitress (who was very nice, to be fair) disappeared for 30 mins so we could not complain/send it back. Not a great dining experience IMO.

FAQs

Yes, Bistro Le Monde can be a lovely choice for a relaxed date night. The casual-dining vibe, international small-plate style (French bistro dishes, stone-oven pizza, Swiss fondue) and a good wine selection create a convivial atmosphere for sharing a meal. Guests praise the quality and friendly service, and evenings feel well suited to a cozy dinner out. For a quieter table, try an early evening seating on a weekday.

Bistro Le Monde posts these hours: Monday 12:00–15:00 and 17:00–21:00; Wednesday–Friday 12:00–15:00 and 17:00–22:00; Saturday 12:00–22:00; Sunday 12:00–21:00. Note that Tuesday is not listed, so the restaurant appears to be closed that day. If you need to visit outside these times, call ahead to confirm any special openings or holiday hours.

Family-friendly: yes. The owner notes a dedicated kids menu and regular vegetarian and gluten‑free options, making it easy to bring children and accommodate dietary needs. Accessible seating: not specified in the provided information. If accessibility needs are important (wheelchair access, step-free entry, or special seating), call the restaurant ahead so staff can confirm arrangements and reserve a convenient table.

Many guests mention it as a good pre-theatre, value-friendly option, so early evening service before shows can be a smart pick. If you prefer a quieter experience, aim for weekday lunch or an early weekday dinner. For a livelier atmosphere, weekend evenings will be busier. Calling ahead for a preferred time or earlier seating will help secure the table you want.

There is no private dining available at Bistro Le Monde, the owner information lists private parties as not allowed. Beyond that, specific seating layouts or dedicated rooms aren’t described. The venue presents as a casual bistro with shared, convivial seating suitable for couples, small groups and families. If you need particular seating (high chair, corner table or a quieter spot), contact the restaurant in advance so staff can advise and try to accommodate your request.

Bistro Le Monde offers a relaxed, international bistro atmosphere, casual and welcoming rather than formal. The menu concept (French bistro classics, stone-oven pizzas, Swiss fondue and global small plates) suggests a lively, shareable dining experience complemented by wine. Guests have noted excellent-quality food and pleasant, attentive service, which supports a friendly, laid-back evening out rather than a very upscale or hushed fine-dining vibe.

Casual dress. The restaurant’s owner information explicitly lists the dress code as casual, so smart-casual attire is appropriate for dinner or lunch, no formal wear required. This makes it an easy spot for relaxed date nights, family meals, or pre-theatre dinners.

Busiest: evenings and weekend dinners are likely the peak times, especially when people come for pre-theatre meals and weekend outings. Quietest: weekday lunch and earlier weekday dinners tend to be calmer. The single guest comment highlights its attractiveness as a pre‑theatre option, which suggests evening service can be busier; if you want a quieter table, aim for weekday daytime service or an early evening booking.

If you want a lively dinner out, Saturday evenings are a natural choice given full dinner hours. For a quieter visit with great value and attentive service, try a weekday lunch or an early weeknight dinner, guests have praised the pre-theatre value and quality. Ultimately choose Saturday for atmosphere or a weekday midday/early evening for a calmer experience.
