Birthday family get together of 4 of us. Really good variety of foood options for everyone. Mentioned birthday on the booking and received a free cheesecake dessert. Very nice environment and servie was excellent. Becasue it is a hotel reataurant/ bar we were able to continue to enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the without having to vacate the table.

My girlfriend and I attended Blossom Restaurant at VOCO Haymarket on 14th February 2026 for Valentine’s Day and unfortunately the experience completely ruined our evening. We had a table booked for 8.00pm. I rang at 7.30pm to let them know we would be arriving at 8.20pm due to taxi delays and the Valentine’s Day rush. I was told this was absolutely fine. We arrived just before 8.20pm and were seated quickly, which was the only positive part of the night. After ordering from the Valentine’s set menu, we waited 50 minutes for our steak. When it finally arrived, the portion sizes were extremely disappointing. We were given one very small pot of chips to share and a tiny half filled pot of peppercorn sauce between two people. For a special Valentine’s menu this was shocking. We finished our meal quickly simply because there was not much to eat. What made matters worse was the service afterwards. Our finished plates sat on the table for over an hour without being cleared. We were not offered any drinks or desserts. We then waited around another hour and a half trying to get someone’s attention. I eventually had to wave at a waiter and explain that we had not been approached and our plates had been sitting there for over an hour. A senior waiter then came over and told us they had stopped serving desserts but could offer us ice cream instead, which felt dismissive and unprofessional given the occasion. The restaurant was not particularly busy as there were people inside mainly having drinks, yet the service was still extremely poor from start to finish. To add to this, we were seated near the window which was fine at first, but two large groups nearby were drinking and being very loud. It did not feel like a romantic Valentine’s atmosphere at all. Overall the service was terrible, the portions were disappointing and the whole experience felt disorganised and unprofessional. It completely ruined what was meant to be a special night. We will not be returning.

Visited here on a Saturday evening. Table booked for and arrived at 6pm. Didn’t get our order taken until 6.40 pm with drinks order taken at same time as food. Waiting staff spent more time trying to input orders on touch screen till than actually serving! Food and drink took a further 20 minutes to arrive. Food itself was decent and prices reasonable. Rowdy groups in bar area were loud and their behaviour went unchallenged by staff. The quality of the food wasn’t worth suffering the poor service and conduct of drinkers nearby. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Not a restaurant , this is a hotel canteen with staff who cannot communicate as they have poor English and also they did not know who we were and what we were there for. Did not even eat here as the menus were scrunched up pieces of paper , some even had food bits stuck to them , so we asked if we were at the right place and just had a quick drink and got out of there.

Whilst the food was nice and reasonably priced, the service left a lot to desired. We had a table booked for 8pm all as we’d expect by this point. We ordered a pint of Stella and a glass of lemonade plus a jug of water for the table, so nothing too exotic or taxing to prepare. 15 minutes later our drinks arrived, minus the jug of water and our food order was taken. So it’s now just a few minutes after 8pm and we order, again nothing to difficult, just 2 sirloin steaks; one medium and one rare. Fast forward a while to 9:20 and our food still hasn’t arrived, neither has the jug of water we ordered 1 & 1/2 hours ago. Now I don’t expect to be eating within 5 minutes of sitting down but neither do I expect to be waiting 1 & 1/2 hours for my first course. I called a waiter over to ask if he could find out how long our food was likely to be and it must’ve been some kind of divine intervention because within about 10 seconds our food was on the table. I decided to risk it and ask for another pint of Stella, big mistake. We ate our main course and our dessert was brought out about 5 minutes later. Luckily we had the foresight to order dessert at the same time as our mains. We finished our desserts at no great pace, just relaxing and chatting while we ate and still waiting for the beer I’d ordered which never materialised. Paid the bill and left around about 10:20. Whilst the venue was pleasant as was was the food, the service left little to be desired. Will I go back? Perhaps, perhaps not. We left satisfied with the food but very disappointed with the service.
